"There she is." Ben said parking in front of the entrance. It looked the same as it did when we left it. We sat and stared at it for a minute. Observing.

"Let's do this." Aaron said opening his door. Ty and I followed him towards the door of the school. He pushed it open and we were hit with a smell, just like the one I had smelt at gas station. The man I had shot was still lying in, a now dry, pool of blood. There were flies flying around the decomposing corpse. We hurried past the body and walked down the hallway that led to the science room. I recognized some of the students that were throughout the hall. All of them asleep.

"I hope they don't stay like this." I said to Aaron and Ty as we neared the science room.

"They won't." Aaron assured me. We had made it to the room. I pushed the door open and looked inside. The room was empty. I guessed what we were looking for was in the supply closet. Ty pushed past us and approached the closet. I handed him my backpack and he opened the closet door. There were dozens of containers and jars inside. Ty knew exactly what he was looking for.

"Tell me when we can go, Ty." I said as I turned to Aaron, who was standing at Mr. Seabourn's desk.

"Think of the lives that are ruined because of some idiot's greed for control. Makes me sick." Aaron said picking up a picture of Mr. Seabourn's family. He had two daughters and one on the way. It sent a chill down my spine when I realized that that baby might not ever see the light of day. Just then we heard gunfire outside.

"Ty, let's go!!!" I yelled, pulling out my revolver.

"Okay, I got everything. Take your backpack." He said tossing me my bag. We felt an explosion nearby and we started to retreat back to the truck. He ran down the hall, jumping over anyone on the floor. We reached the entrance and Ty gripped his gun tightly.

"Listen, I'm going to open the door and we make a run for the truck." Aaron yelled. We nodded and Aaron placed his hand on the door."One, t-" He was cut off by a massive explosion. The noise made my ears ring. The entire entrance had collapsed. Everything was blurry as I stood back up. I couldn't hear anything due to the deafening explosion. As my hearing slowly returned I could hear Aaron screaming out. Ty ran to me and grabbed my arm. He dragged me towards where Aaron was.

"Hurry, look!!!" Ty yelled at me, over the sound of more gunfire. He was pointing at Aaron, who was half covered in fallen debris. I could only see his top half. He was crying out for me. I dropped my revolver and and lifted a large piece of metal. I looked under where the metal had been and saw something that scarred me forever. My friend was missing half of his left leg. Blood was oozing from what was left of his leg. He stopped screaming and grabbed me by the shirt.

"Dra-Drayton, you have to get out of here." He cried clenching his teeth. Tears were running down his face.

"It'll be okay, Aaron! I'll get you out of here!!" I yelled, starting to try to lift him. He stopped me. Behind us and behind the pile of rubble that blocked our view, sat four armored trucks. Ben and Zach were sitting in the truck, about a dozen feet away from where we were. They were trying to hold off the trucks but were failing. We needed to run for the truck. If we weren't fast, the turrets would tear us to pieces.

"Leave me!!" Aaron cried.

"No!! I'm not leaving you!!! I promised that I wouldn't let anything happen to you!!" I yelled, bursting into tears. Aaron was one of my best friends. I refused to believe that I had to leave him to die.

"Pro-promise me, Drayton. Promise me that you'll wake her up!!" Aaron said looking deep into my eyes. I nodded, then hugged my fallen friend.

"We have to go, now!!!" Ty yelled to me.

"I'll make some noise to buy you some time. Give me your gun, Ty!!!" Aaron demanded, as he bled. Ty handed him his assault rifle and held his own in the other in his other hand. Then he looked at me one last time.

"Good luck, friend." Aaron said to me before he started shooting in the air. Me and Ty bolted out from behind the rubble and towards the truck. The sound of the turret's rapid shooting came from my left. I could hear the bullets hit the ground behind me, as I ran. Zach opened the back door, when we were a foot from the truck and we dove in.

"Where's Aaron!!!" Ben asked as the truck was showered in bullets of the other trucks.

"Just go!!!" I yelled crying out. Ben hit the gas and we sped away. The trucks didn't follow us because they were distracted by Aaron's gunfire. We flew down the road away from the school. It felt like a bad dream. It couldn't be real. The further we got from the school, the more I realized that I wasn't dreaming. That was when I realized Aaron Brody was dead.
