I once again awoke from my restless sleep. I hoped, deep down in my soul, that today would be as good as the previous day. I looked at my watch to see that it was already 9:00. I noticed that Aaron and Ty had woke up before me, and were not in the room. I Sat up on my bed and stretched. I stood up and went to my dresser. I didn't know what we would do today, but I was going to be ready for it. I grabbed a T-shirt and some shorts. Yesterday we had finished so many things that needed to be done. Maybe it was a good thing we had gained so many people. I stepped out of my room and climbed the stairs. When I opened the basement door, the sound of my friends talking about the day's plan. I Silently sat on the couch next to Zach and Ben.
"So, did you guys sleep well in your new hut? You can say I really, NAILED it!!" Ben joked. The girls just ignored his joke.
"Yes, you all did a very good job on our hut. Thank you." Emilie said from the opposite side of the room.
"Are we going to build a second hut today?" Tim asked.
"I think the sooner the better. The next hut can be for Tim and Parker." Elizabeth stated. The living room was slowly becoming more crowded, due to the newcomers.
"The Awake contacted me last night." Zach cut in. The room was quiet while they waited for the rest of his story."They said that the Enemy activity has increased down there. They asked, if it gets too bad, if they could come here for a few days."
"We're running out of room." I said from the couch. The others agreed. "Still, we owe them. They can come here to lay low for a few days if they need."
"Has Ty figured out the duplication process yet?" Aaron asked. Ty had been quiet up until this point.
"I need a few more days. It must have taken years for them to create this bioweapon." Ty said. Aaron crossed his arms and looked at the floor.
"Hey Aaron, you want to go to the gas station with me?" I asked, changing the subject.
"Sure, I need to get my mind off of things. That should do the trick." He said, as he sighed.
"You want me to drive you?" Ben asked. I shook my head.
"We can walk. Besides, I'm sure we can all agree, you are the architect of our project." I said standing up.
"So, you guys are going to the gas station, we're going to work on the second hut, and the girls are going to do what?" Ben asked looking at the girls.
"We're going into town to get some stuff." Brianna answered, looking at Emilie. They both smiled as they did so.
"What kind of stuff?" Zach asked. All three of the girls smiled.
"You know, just some stuff. We'll even grab some food while we're out, if you want." Elizabeth said from next to Emilie.
"Okay, sure. You do that. Ty, you just keep working on the Antidote." Aaron said glaring at Ty.
"A please would be nice." Ty said standing up.
"I didn't ask for you to come here. Do what you're told." Aaron said furiously. Great. More drama.
"How about you crawl back to your dumpster, punk." Ty said, now turning red.
"Maybe I will. If you can make me, Einstein." Aaron said standing his ground. I jumped in.
"We don't need to fight about it, guys. You both are very important to this group. The last thing we need is this." I said stepping between the two.
"I'm about to make your little friend wish he never came out of that dumpster." Ty said with fury in his eyes.
"Let's find out what that big brain of yours, looks on the wall!!" Aaron yelled.
"ENOUGH!!!" Parker's dad, Nick, yelled, silencing the two."You two need to get along. You're holding the group back. If you two didn't notice, We're all that's left in this town."
"He's right... I'm sorry, Ty." Aaron stated. Ty nodded his head.
"Me too, Aaron." Ty said putting his hands in his pockets.
"I just miss Cailey..." Aaron said sadly.
"I promise, Aaron, that I'll bring her back. I just need time." Ty claimed, extending his hand.
"Okay." Aaron said grasping Ty's hand.
"So... Everybody good? Can we get to work?" Tim asked. All the drama was over and we were ready to get moving. Aaron and I gathered our things and prepared ourselves for the walk back to the gas station. Aaron handed me my revolver and grabbed his staff. I opened the door and we started towards the gas station.
