I felt hurt, heartbroken, angry, stupid and ashamed. But what I felt more than anything was betrayed.

Here I was holding on for dear life to the hope of making our relationship work while he was literally walking down the aisle with someone else.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't realize we were halfway through the ceremony.

"Should anyone here present know of any reason that this couple should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace." The ordained minister spoke towards the crowd.

I wanted nothing more than to spring up and expose Daniel for the low down dog that he was. But, as much as I tried, I couldn't get my body to cooperate with me. It felt like my body was paralyzed.

"You okay, honey?" Briona asked me.

I didn't respond as I continued to look on in horror at the scene unfolding before me. It didn't seem real. It couldn't be.

That is, until I heard the two simple words 'I do' spill from his mouth.

The crowd began cheering from every direction as the newlyweds kissed. They then made their way down the aisle holding hands and smiling at all of their friends and family.

Just as they walked past our aisle, I turned my head just in time to lock eyes with the man that I had fallen madly in love with. Instantly, his smile dropped and all of the blood ran out of his face. He'd been caught.

It made me wonder how long he was really planning on keeping it a secret. Was he really going out of town for work all of those long weekends? Did he ever really love me?

Soon enough, I was snapped out of my thoughts when Bri grabbed my hand and we made our way out of the venue space and into the parking lot.

"You want to just follow me to the reception or do you want to ride together?" A clueless Bri asked, applying a fresh layer of red lipstick to her lips.

I shook my head. "I-I don't feel well. I'm actually just gonna go home."

"You gonna be alright, sweetie?" Her face was scrunched in confusion. "You need me to come with you?"

I quickly denied. "No. I'll be okay."

"Okay." She pulled me in for a hug just as everyone began making their way towards the lot. "Let me know when you get home."

I nodded and escaped to my car. I glanced up once more before getting into my car and spotted Daniel frantically searching the parking lot. I didn't give him time to locate me as I ducked into my car and sped towards the house.

As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I hopped out and scaled the long staircase inside of the house. I went into the closet and pulled down three big suitcases and began stuffing them with as many of my belongings as I could. Anything that Daniel bought or contributed to buying was left shredded on the floor of the closet.

I hauled each bag down the stairs and threw them into the trunk and backseat I then grabbed a couple duffle bags and filled them with the majority of my shoes and purses. Once I figured I had all that I needed, I went to get my dog and leave.

As I walked down the long hallway, I passed multiple pictures of me and Daniel varying from us together in high school, to posing on the deck of a luxury cruise, to goofing around on the shore of some island. Just looking at the photos sent a wave of rage through my body.

I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around, heading to Daniels trophy room. When I spotted his prized signed A Rod bat, I snatched it out of the case and made a beeline through the house. Along the way I smashed any and everything that represented us being together or that I contributed in getting.
