Lawrence known As L
A half in hour later I pulled up in front Chicago Federal Prison and seen my boy O standing with correctional officer. I hopped out my truck dapped him up with a brotherly hug happy as shit to see him.
"Long time no see boy" O said.
"Yeah nigga you got big plus ya ass couldn't stay away from lock down with ya crazy ass" I said heading to back to the truck.
"Yeah I know" O said bucking at the officers before climbing in the passenger side of my truck. O was always considered a wild buck, you couldn't keep this nigga still let alone from knocking any niggas block off at any moment.
" Come on L mane you know me yo" he added making me chuckle at his ass, this nigga still ain't changed I guess he would always remain crazy ass O from the hood.
"So how's life been for you my nigga... I see you rocking that magic ring" O said Chuckling referring to the gold wedding ring on my finger.
I chuckled "Yeah boy... I settled down and got married" I admitted.
"That's what's up... You got kids now"? O asked.
"Yeah... I got daughter and a son on the way" I said still driving.
"Oh shit my nigga got two kids now" O said sounding happy for me.
"Technically the little girl isn't mines. I met her when she was a baby you can say I been in her life since and she five now. My old lady doesn't talk about Shi'day's father and I plan to keep it that way cause I've been more her father than him" I said.
"So he's a absent nigga"? O asked.
"Pretty much" I said focused on the road.
O Chuckled, I looked over at him "What's so funny nigga"? I asked laughing with him.
"Nothing man just never thought you would settle down" O admitted.
"Man me either... But when I met her I knew she was the one. She's beautiful, smart and the mother of my children what more could I ask for. She gives me something none of the hoes i was dealing with before gave me" I said.
O nodded with a smile "So where's the lucky lady when do I get to meet her"? O asked.
I glanced at him with a smile before looking back at the road "Tonight my brother" we both chuckled.
"Yeah... I had a girl before I got locked up but i fucked up and she bailed on me never heard from her again. Guess she was tired of my shit" O said. I could tell he was a little hurt by the tone in his voice so I changed the subject.
"How's ya son"? I asked.
"Damon... Man that little nigga is bad as shit but he doing good. He's seven now" O said.
"Damn... Little man done grew up for real" I said remembering when he was a baby.
"Yeah... My baby mom still crazy ass fuck tho" O said shaking his head.
"I figured, Helen will always be Helen nigga" I said as we both shared a laugh.
O met Helen down in the projects we started hustling at when we first got on. They had been on and off for years until she finally couldn't take no more of O's shit and decided to leave. We road through our old hood Fuller park and pulled up at the apartment complex that O lived at. Before he closed the door he looked back at me...
"My nigga I'm glad to be home" O said.
"Nigga I'm glad you home and I hope you plan on staying out cause we got business to finish" I said. He smiled and rubbed his hands together one thing for sure two things for certain O wasn't scared to get to business or his hands dirty that's why he was my nigga.
"I'll hit you up with the address be at my house by 7... Doing a little get together for you" I said.
"Cool... Cool I'll definitely be there. Meantime I'ma try to find my girl and get back on good terms with her" O said.
"Do ya thang... Bring her to the get together I'm sure she'll enjoy herself" I said.
O nodded, we Dapped fist and he walked away. I sat there for a minute reminiscing on how we use to be.
Starting out We use to make sell in and outta this building day and night til our feet got tired, It was just the three of us. But Of course me and Travis got out the hood but for reason O just couldn't leave. It was like being a hood nigga was in his blood. And the type of nigga O was he wasn't scared to take chances he knew that people in Da hood feared him. Wasn't nobody that dumb to try O, his ass was certified. I pushed the thought outta my head and pulled off heading back home to get things together For the party tonight.
