I stared mad as hell at my wife. She had been hiding shit from me and little did she know I was standing there listening to half of the conversation. I noticed how shook up she was and how weird O was acting then he disappeared right after she did so I knew something wasn't right. That's when I stepped back and listened to their conversation that they were having in the kitchen.

"I asked you a question woman" I said. She stood in front of me with a opened mouth but no words left. I glanced over at O and noticed he was getting a kick out of this so I had to dismiss Paula. I nodded my head for her to leave the kitchen "Me and you gonna talk" I said. She left the kitchen looking like a sad puppy.

I looked at O "So was she the girl you was talking about earlier that you was trying to find and reconnect with"? I asked curiously.

"Don't mention yo... It's not biggie bro" O said waving off the situation like he was cool but I know he wasn't. My eyes then  landed on my daughter at the door way in her sleeper rubbing her eyes.

I ran over to her "Baby girl what you doing up"? I asked her. She looked up at me with them light brown chinky eyes and reached her arms out for me to pick her up.

"That's the little one"? O asked peeking around me at Shi'day. I picked her up "Yeah this Shi'day... Baby say hey to Uncle O" I said looking down at her.

Orlando waved at her before I disappeared to put her back in her, she must of walking through the party and nobody knew.

The minute my eyes landed on the little mixed girl I seen a reflection of her mother. Although those light brown Chinky eyes she didn't share with Paula they still looked familiar to me. Her long curly hair down to her lips reminded me of someone I knew, it sent a weird chill up my spine. Lawrence came back in the kitchen breaking me out of my train of thought.

                                                                  ****Lawrence*******

I walked back in the kitchen to see O still leaned on the counter in the same spot he was in before I left out. He was deep thought and i knew what ever it was  it couldn't be good. I knew O like the back of my hand, i knew him inside out and i knew when he was in deep thought like this, something was bond to happen.

"Yo O I honestly didn't know about her being ya girl she never told me" I said truthfully as i walked back up to him.

"It's not ya fault but hey I can't even blame her... How you think I met her"? O said making me give him a weird look.

"How"? I asked regretting the answer that i knew may come along with it.

"She was with a homie before me" O said shrugging his shoulders carelessly as he took a sip of his wine. I cut my eyes at him "You calling my wife a hoe bruh"?

He chuckled "Nah... I'm saying shit went bad with them and she came crawling to me. I think his name was Joey or some shit honestly I think he's the little girl's dad" he said with a small smile but me I still had a straight face.

"It's cool... She wasn't for me anyway it ain't ya fault bro" he added walking over to me dapping me up.

No matter what he was saying right now I still felt a weird vibe from O. I've known him for years I knew how he operated he couldn't fool me I knew he felt some type of way but I brushed it off. Travis then entered the kitchen.

"Y'all niggas just dipped on me" Travis said in a playful voice.

"Nah... Our bad we had a situation" I said.

He stood confused looking back and forth at me and Travis "Oh... What happened"?

I shook my head "Nothing important right now".

"Right... Let's talk business"O said changing the subject.

Me and Travis focused their attention on O and he took the floor "I met a new connect... some white cats from across the tracks and I think we should meet up with them" O said.

"They talking good money" Travis asked.

"Most definitely" O said.

"Let's do it then... L what you say"? Travis asked as they both looked at me.

I stuck for a second "Oh yeah... Definitely let do it. O is these niggas legit"? I asked.

"Now come on... What's my name"? O said Chuckling.

Truth be told I was standing back observing O the whole time. Something was off about him and unlike Travis I picked it up. He wasn't the same nigga we grew up he seemed more distant then close and i knew most of this was because of Paula.
