Chapter 9
I look around for Luke and I regretfully find him. His disgusting lips up against Julia's. I am so angry and upset, tears well up in my eyes and the world becomes a blur. I grab my bag and wipe the tears from my eyes.
About to run home to avoid embarrassment, I decide to sneak one last look at Julia and Luke.
I see Ben, who I've never really thought much about. I had Luke and didn't need anyone else. I doubt that he has ever thought of me either.
But still, Ben pulls Luke away from Julia and swiftly punches him in the face. I can faintly hear their conversation.
"What he heck man?!?" Says Luke angrily, ready to punch him back.
"Your such a jerk! I'm not going to let you do this to Katie! You don't deserve her!" He shoves Luke, and Luke punches him hard in the stomach. Ben falls to the ground.
I want to go and help him ad thank him, but I don't want to have to face Luke, It hurts too much.
I decide to go home, my tears are coming down heavily now.
When I get home my mom isn't there. I run up to my room and look in the mirror. My face red and puffy and my makeup smeared, I fall to the floor and sob.
I cry for awhile and then go downstairs for some ice cream.
