Chapter 15
When we got to the park we sat on a bench.
"What's up guys?" Said Alex's familiar voice. There goes my perfect day with Ben...
"Oh, Alex. What are you doing here?" I said trying to act like I was actually happy to see her.
Ben smiled and attempted a wave by putting his hand up. He didn't look to happy to see her either, which made me feel better.
"Just walking, how about you guys?"
She sat down on the bench next to Ben, which really annoyed me. Not that I didn't like Alex, so far she's been a great friend, but she sort of interrupted my time him. I looked over at Alex and she scooted closer to Ben.
"We're were just hanging out" Ben said.
"So Ben, I was wondering," Alex started to play with her fingers,"do you wanted go out with me tomorrow?"
At this point I was done. I started to get up.
"I think I'm going to head home" I said.
As I was walking away, I heard Ben calling my name.
"Hey! Wait, Katie!" He yelled after me.
"No, it's ok. You guys have fun."
I walked quickly away from Ben, and he went back to Alex.
