Chapter 13
"Haha! You really did that?!?"
"Yeah," he laughed.
We walked into the lunch room and I saw Alex, gesturing me to sit down next to her, so Ben and I walked over.
"Hey, Alex," I said as I was sitting down.
"Hey," she replied
I sat next to Alex and then Ben sat down next to me. We all talked together, and when lunch was over Alex said that she wanted to talk to me about something.
"I'll talk to you later," I said to Ben.
"Ok, see ya," he replied.
Alex started to talk to me.
"So, are you and the cute brown going out?
"You mean Ben?"
"Ya," she said.
"Um, no" I said in a quiet and unsure tone.
"Cool, would you mind if I asked him out?"
"No," I said even quieter than before.
She smiled, "K, well I'll see you around"
I went home upset. Ben really was just a friend, but I think we both wanted to be more than friends. I just didn't think I was ready to be in a relationship, I mean I loved someone who broke my heart.
