Chapter 27

The words feel right in my mouth.

"Say it again," he says with a slight curve in his lip.

"I love you," I say.

"I love you, too" he leans down and our lips connect. It feels like forever, but the kiss only lasts a few seconds.

He puts his face on my hair, breathing in. Kissing my head he tells me that he should let me get dressed. I nod, watching him go.

I ache, I want him to come back. I want him to come back and kiss me. Hold me.

I let him leave.

I look at the pile of clothes in my lap. I see my see-through rose shirt, a tank top, and some jeans. I go into the bathroom that's connected to my room to put my clothes on.

I look at a picture of a family; a mom, a dad, a girl, and a brother.

I think of my father. The thought of him pangs me.

My father died in a car crash when I was little, I didn't really know him. but my mom says that he was very sweet and handsome.

I feel a raindrop on my cheek. No, not a rain drop, I'm inside. Tears, I think; I'm crying.

I wipe my tears away and leave the bathroom.
