Chapter 26: Kate's POV
"Huh?" I groan as a hand wakes me.
"Sorry to wake you up, babe," Ben says.
I smile as his hand still rests on my shoulder.
My mom walks up to the other side of me, "hey sweetie, I'll be in the lobby. Ok?"
"Ok, mom," I replied.
Ben and I watched my mom leave the room. He catches me off guard, and kisses me on the lips.
I think about all the affection I'm getting from Ben because I was attacked. And he flew all the way from England just to see me and make sure that I'm ok. He's alway been there for me. He's handsome and funny. He's amazing.
Now I understand what love really is. I know what it means to be in love, because I am in love. I know now, although I think I have always know, I've just been too afraid to admit it.
Ben hands me a pile of clothes.
"Here, your mom gave me these for you to put on. I'll go while you dress"
I stare at him while he speaks, his face looks puzzled.
"What?" He says.
"I realized something." I say my hand motioning him toward my bed.
He kneels down, his face close to mine.
"I love you."
