67 - 'Your that girl from Comic Con right?'

~~~~~
This place is too big. Sure there was a map at the main entrance but I was too busy trying to get past everyone.
Where am I? Comic Con. Why? Because why the hell not, there's merchandise, cosplayers, famous people including you tubers in which is one of the main reasons why I finally decided to come. The Yogscast was my main goal - of course I'd head off to the Walking Dead stage and listen to the interview if I had time- they were hilarious, funny and gifted in their own special ways. However, the main person I wanted to see was Kim. Kim is like a female representative for the female gamers, you don't have to be drop dead gorgeous like a porn star to play video games and be good at them and she's even that good she has her own fan base and even the Yogs themselves appreciate her. What's not to love about the Malaysian mastermind, Kim Richards.
So far, I had brought a few bits and bobs off different stores, this Pokemon hoodie, Batman sneakers and some art pieces that varied between small little sculptures to posters to hang on my wall or to store away somewhere. I had also met a few people, a group of people dancing around as Spider man, talked to some of the people selling stuff and even managed to bump into the almighty Tom Ridgewell. He was alone at the time, getting a coffee or whatever and he wasn't watching where he was going and accidentally bumped into me, nearly spilt the contents of it over me in which led to a lovely conversation with him. Best part was that he remembered me from all the other conventions we had met at and we had a laugh over it, he even brought me this Harley Quinn travel mug and signed it although he didn't really have to.
So to conclude what's happened so far, it's been brilliant.
And here I stand now, in line waiting to finally meet the Yogscast. Now I was going to meet them last year but I just didn't have the time and was being dragged around by my friend that had no interest in them but instead this guy dressed as Thor, so I was stuck with her for the whole day basically stalking this random guy who was apparently called Sam.
Anyways the line. I hadn't been in it long but the line just seemed to be getting shorter and shorter quite quickly. Maybe they were just signing stuff and preparing to go on a break as even 'famous' people need breaks from their work.
Looking up I realised I was actually quite close to the front and my heart jumped. Why is it all happening so quickly? I was at the back not too long ago and now everyone seems to have vanished. Maybe they too got too nervous and backed out or they didn't have the time perhaps.
Breathe (Y/N), it's fine, they don't bite they're good people. It's only the Yogscast. The Yogscast... The people I have looked up to for years and now all of a sudden I'm only meters away from them. Maybe they'll judge me, I'm not dressed up enough for this, my hair is probably a mess, maybe I'm all sweaty at the moment. No! It's fine I can do this.
I took a deep breath, pursing my lips tightly together and looked up from my feet yet again. I locked eyes with the Kim Richards, she's smiling at me although I not at the front of the line yet.
No, I can't do this.
Quickly breaking eye contact with Kim, I went under the barrier and walked away with heavy breaths, too nervous to even think about going back into the line.
Tom had been so easy to approach as I had encountered him a few times at different conventions but the Yogscast, by god that was a whole another level. This would've been my first time meeting them and I am not at all physically or mentally prepared for it.
It had been a week since the run away incident. Sure I had my regrets but it was for the best, it was either meet them and completely embarrass myself and then receive a panic attack or something of the likes of it or just prepare for next year and make my appearance again. Even though I was in the line, they wouldn't remember me surely, there was probably hundreds of people before me so I was irrelevant at the position I was in.
I sighed, leaning further back into the bench I was sat on. Currently I was stuck at the park, the being I call my child sitting on the floor quietly for once. Well I say my child although he's clearly a dog of an old age. Adopted him about a year and a half ago from the kennels, people didn't want him because of his old age but I saw nothing wrong with him, just an old dog waiting for his time to come and I was determined to make the last of his days worth it. I just kept his original name, Fawkes, his coat was short and was probably a decent back in his youthful days but now he's aged it's become a beautiful grey. No idea what breed he is, the place I got him from just said he was a mixture of breeds but he was him, and I love him for that.
Another dog loudly barking cut me off from my thoughts.
Looking up I saw a dog, with golden fur running towards us seemingly being highly hyper at the current moment considering how fast it's going.
Fawkes slowly stood up, his age making it difficult and he backed up into the safety between my legs which he was currently lying between. A habit he developed when I first got him, going in between my legs when he got nervous or felt uncomfortable so I often had to have my legs somewhat apart from one another just so he could be comfortable at any point needed.
The dog came to a sudden hault, heavily panting as it's tail swayed from side to side and it slowly approached Fawkes. He seemed gentle despite his active appearance . A smile smile began to adorn my face as the random dog began to try and out its paw on top of Fawkes and sniff his face. Fawkes clearly wasn't used to this type of affection off another dog and tried to back up further into my legs although he was already bumping into the bench.
"Sorry,"A voice called out , I didn't bother to look up and instead scratched behind the dogs ears who suddenly turned his attention to me, "Oscar come here!"
I looked up with a smile expecting to see a woman with hair going all over the place and looking stressed out but obviously trying to keep her cool with the dog who is called Oscar. Instead I was greeted by the Kim Richards with a flustered look on her face, hair a mess and jogging over to the dog in a hurry. I don't ever recall Kim talking about a dog called Oscar in her videos.
She sighed as she leashed the dog again and glanced at me for a moment before pulling the dog away from me but froze again. She turned back to look at me pursing her lips and narrowing her eyes.
Clicking her fingers, realisation filled her eyes and she pointed at me with a large smile spreading across her face, " You're that girl from Comic Con right?"
I blinked a couple of times processing the fact that she remembered me although we technically never met in the first place.
I nodded slowly looking down at the dog she was managing to hold back, "Is that your dog? He's very hyper"
Kim shook her head, "No he's not, this is Oscar," She patted the dogs head as it finally seated itself , his tail still going wild, "It's Ross' dog but he's gone away for a day or two with his girlfriend and I offered to look after Oscar and Archie for him, left Archie at home and I'm grateful I did"
Kim slowly sat down next to me as to not set off the golden dog again and held out her free hand to me, "It's nice to be able to meet you this time," She smiled at me as we shook hands.
Maybe I could do it after all.
