Phil has had trouble communicating with other people and dealing with his own problems which resulted into him not speaking at all. He was on mute and he wouldn't begin to think his life would change until he met the new kid, Dan who turned his world upside down. Dan was seated next to Phil and noticed that Phil didn't seem like a talkative person but wasn't aware he was Mute until Phil brought out his notepad and pen.
