Dan and Phil have always disliked each other as long as they can remember and it was their polar opposites which made it natural for them to hate each other, especially Dan. However, Phil didn't want to necessarily hate Dan in anyway but he knew he had to stay strong in order for him to surpass Dan. In a nutshell, Dan was going to be tutored by Phil and they find out that they're more alike than different. This definitely had changed everything for them.
