Dan and Phil were childhood friends who enjoyed each other's company more than anything. Even their own mothers predicted that when they were older they would definitely be a couple.
Dan being a few years younger than Phil caused a few issues between him and Phil but never as children. It was until Phil had reached a fair enough age and Dan had reached his maximum love rate for Phil is when all the troubles came. Phil knew he couldn't date Dan due to how young he was but Phil did know that deep down he felt something for Dan.
