I woke up to about 400+ notifications this morning. Nakakakaloka (Kris Aquino voice). Thank you. You all made this wanna-be writer's heart full today. Thank you @maichardism for giving this story a shoutout on twitter. I was shy to thank you on twitter so @ gleekrusher (on twitter) gave me a bright idea to thank you here instead. She has really good stories. I currently love Outlander, it's well-written, engaging, fun, quirky story - in a league of its own.

For this chapter, I thought someone would actually catch the clue I actually left on Chapter XXXIV.  *wink*

Richard rang the doorbell to their apartment.

Dei opened the door. It was already 6 in the evening. He was carrying packs of food that he picked up from the Deli on his way home.

He noticed Dei's bags in the living room. He remembered bringing the bags into the walk-in closet.

"Dei, why are your bags here?"

"RJ, I'm looking for flights out. I just wanted to say goodbye before I leave."

"..."

"I couldn't book flights, it's all full. Can I stay in the other room while I get a flight out?"

"You couldn't get a flight out?"

"Yes. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, too for what I have done. And if it cause us to break up I'll gladly accept it."

"Wait, I'll grab something from the kitchen"

Richard returns with two bottles of water. He opens one and hands it to Dei and takes the other one for himself.

"Camille told me everything."

"I guess it's time for me to tell my version of the story."

We were in New York City about 2 years ago, a trip was a gift from your parents, when you graduated with the highest honours from the University. Unfortunately, you had to go back 2 weeks into our trip, because your brother and sister caught dengue fever and there's a chance that they would need blood and you wanted to be there for family.

I was supposed to go back to Switzerland to visit my grandparents until my grandfather called me and said to use this time instead to look at how our business is doing here, learn the tricks of the trade because he said, eventually, I will run all of it, the best time to learn is now.

It was a week into the training where I would usually start my day at 7 in the morning and end at 7 in the evening. Opa, got a car service for me so going everywhere was not a problem. He also had two of his best people to guide me and had one of his most trusted people from Switzerland fly in so that I won't be alone.

It was one afternoon, I dropped by a cafe somewhere in Brooklyn and ordered coffee. I noticed a lady who was trying to hide deliberately, but she was the only wait staff and I was one of the five customers in the restaurants, everyone else has been served. She caught my attention and then when she looked up, I realised it was Camille. She had longer hair, she lost a lot of weight, her eyes dark and puffy. Her clothes seem to have seen better days.

I didn't want to embarrass her, so I wrote her a note saying I will wait for her shift to end. I will wait for her in the car outside, I wrote down the plate number.

I asked the bodyguard that Opa insisted and the chauffeur to look out for her. She tried to escape us by going the other way, good thing I saw her.
