"Mister Ayman, thank you for coming with me here."
"Miss Dei, you don't have to thank me. I would have taken a day off if you invited me."
"How's Opa and Oma?"
"They are doing very good. Madame Ann is recovering well, they really want to be here, Miss Dei. I'm still figuring out how to do this video thing live so that they can see when you go to the stage and receive your degree."
"I know they want to be here, I actually insisted that they stay. Oma has no clearance to travel just yet. Let me help you."
"No, no. Miss Dei, concentrate on prepping for your graduation."
Dei exhales and Mister Ayman sees this that she's turning teary-eyed.
"Miss Dei, I'll send the video, too to your siblings. They must be devastated, there's just a huge typhoon in Manila that has delayed flights. I'm sure they really want to be here."
"I know Mister Ayman, I know." Dei smiles weakly.
She wasn't sure if Richard could make it, there was usual delays and a computer glitch that was causing people to miss their flights.
Dei goes to the bathroom and cries. It's supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life, she's graduating from college and no one is there, well Mister Ayman is there. She quickly wipes it off and goes out. Mister Ayman notices it.
Dei sees a bouquet of flowers on her dresser and reads the note. "This is very sweet, thank you, Mister Ayman."
"You're welcome, Miss Dei. It's from George and I. Know that we are very very proud of you and what you've become."

"Montenegro-Mendoza, Nicole Dei Alexandra"
The audience burst into an applause. Dei smiled. Then she heard a distinct voice cheering. She looked at the audience and sees Richard, holding a bouquet of flowers and clapping. She also sees Ricardo and Rose Faulkerson next to Mister Ayman as well Sam and Jerald. Dei breaks into a huge grin.
The ceremonies had just finished and Dei was scrambling to find Richard.
"RJ! You made it!" She runs to him and gives him a really tight hug.
"Auntie! Uncle, Sam and Jerald. You're all here, too!!!" She proceeds to hug all of them.
"Dei, your grandparents are in a video call." Mister Ayman shows her his phone.
"Opa! Oma!" Dei says
"Sweetheart, we are very very proud of you." both her grandparents are in tears.

"Auntie Rose, thank you for this. Very kind of you to take us all out for dinner."
"Dei, nonsense. You are like my daughter. Well-done, Hija. Congratulations!"
"Auntie, Uncle how did you get here?"
"We were always supposed to come here, the three of us. We were supposed to be here yesterday but we got delayed." Ricardo tells Dei.
"What? RJ didn't tell me. RJ!" Richard smiles sheepishly.
"Auntie, Uncle, thank you for coming. It really means a lot to me."
"Je! Sam! How?"
"We were going home a week ago, when someone (looks at Richard) convinced us to stay and we are very glad we did. Dei, we're very proud of you. Congratulations!"

They were all at the Montenegro flat in London.
"Dei, Love" Richard whispers and continues "I am very proud of you. Congratulations, baby girl"
Dei pulls Richard for a kiss.
"Dei, Let's lock your door, first"
They quickly go back to kissing. It was full of emotion, their tongues duelling and sucking each other's lips.
"That was..." Dei says
"Amazing." Richard replies
Richard takes out an envelope from the pocket of his suit jacket and hands it to Dei.
"Congratulations, Love."
"RJ, what is this?"
"Go on, Dei open it?"
Dei excitedly opens the envelope. Her gasp was heard in the room. Her hand covering her mouth.
"RJ, Love, is this what I think it is?"
Richard nods.
"We're going to one of our dream destinations?"
Richard smiles, nods again and gives Dei a kiss on the temple.
Dei jumps and cheers, "Machu Picchu, see you next year!!!"
"Thank you, RJ, Love. Thank you." Dei gives Richard several butterfly kisses on his face.
They heard knocks on the door. They opened the door not before fixing themselves up.
"Auntie."
"Bubba RJ, May I speak with Dei?"
"Of course, Mom." Richard leaves the room
"Dei, Hija. Kumusta? How are you today?"
"I'm good, Auntie. Very happy. You've made me all happy."
Rose hands a small box to Dei. "Congratulations, Hija."
"Auntie, you don't have to."
"Hija, many years ago, I modelled for this designer and lost my earrings. The another model next to me, offered this. And after the event, I tried returning them and she said, it suited me more. She said, keep it."
"Auntie, this is gorgeous." It's was a pair of leaf pearl earrings. Dei immediately removed her earrings and changed it to the gift she received from Rose. By this time, Rose was shedding tears.
"Auntie, why are you crying?"
Rose gets what looks like an old photo from her pocket and shows Dei.
"Hija, that pair of earrings is from your mother. I didn't realised I met her many years ago until I saw this photo while I was cleaning my safe box three months ago."
"Oh, Auntie, Thank you. Thank you."
By this time, the two ladies were crying and hugging each other.
