It's been two weeks since Richard arrived from Manila. He has been very busy with work, there's been a lot of deadlines and overtime. Dei was also very busy with the scholarship foundation and to fly back to London a week ago to work on the requirements for her master's program and for her graduation.

Richard left Manila without going on a date with Dei. That night when they agreed that they were going on a date again, hopefully without his mother tagging along, Little Nicola was rushed to the ER.

The doctors diagnosed her with a febrile convulsion, it was an infection in her body that caused her temperature to spike. Since the seizure only lasted for five minutes and didn't happen again and didn't find anything on the tests, the doctors told the family that it was not a cause for alarm but decided to keep her in the hospital for a few days for observation.

When Nicola woke up, she was asking for Richard and didn't want anyone else, so Dei called up Richard. Richard came as soon as he could. Nicola was very territorial over Richard. Nicoleen and her husband were really embarrassed by the inconvenience that Nicola was causing Richard, they knew that Richard was only in the country for a few days. Richard was very gracious. He indulged Little Nicola, fed her food, medicine and played with her.

Dei accompanied Richard all the time, even though she couldn't touch him because Little Nicola got angry at anyone who got near or touched Richard. Dei took this chance to take care of Richard. She coordinated with Yaya Virgie for a change of his clothes and asked her to make his favourite dishes, she worked with their own house help to prepare food for the family in the hospital, she was the one handling the hospital bills as well.

Nicoleen and her husband between Little Nicola in the hospital and the baby at home, were frazzled at the moment. Nicoleen couldn't visit the hospital as she was still breast feeding the baby and they didn't want to take the risk of her getting any viruses from the hospital, although the doctors said it was okay.

Some of the nurses and even the doctors thought that Richard and Dei were Little Nicola's parents.

"RJ, Love! Nasaan ka?" Dei said on the phone

"Ha? I'm packing, I'm going to the airport. I sent you a message this morning di ba? Adam and Joe are paying for our flights to New York City for a presentation. I'm extending kasi Labor day weekend naman."

"WHAAAAAT?"

"Dei, Love, what happened?"

"Urrrrghhhh! I just landed at the airport to surprise you."

"What? You're here? I'll send you the details of my flight, baka you can still book yourself? I want to book for you but I can't, I haven't finished packing."

"Send it across."

"Buti na lang this flight wasn't full no?" Dei said to Richard.

"And buti na lang yung teammate ko was kind enough to move seats, so we can sit next to each other. You were going to surprise me? Ang sweet talaga ng girlfriend ko"

"I was pero buti na lang, tinawagan kita else I would have ended up alone in your apartment. I found tickets on sale! Kaya I booked them right away. Carry-on lang pero okay na din!"

They were holding hands.

"It feels so good to travel with you. Alam mo it's been years since we've traveled together, Dei."

"Oo nga no. Either you come to visit me or we meet in an airport."

A stewardess went to Richard, smiled and said, "Sir, if there's anything that you need, please don't hesitate to give us a buzz. We would be more than happy to help you."
