*Second Person's POV*

Once again you are sitting on some grass in front of a large campfire. The only difference this time is that you're not leaning against a log or a rock. Instead you're leaning back against the warm scales of Caroline's dragon. Which you had earlier found out was named Tawni. It felt familiar, but failed to ring any bells from forgotten memories.

Caroline sits near Tawni's head while you laid on her side. Everyone else was spread around the fire and laying on or with their dragon in some way. Right now Caroline is answering questions thrown her way as you watch silently. She's already been asked her name and her dragon's name. Hence where you found Tawni's name. And just a few moments ago, she was asked where she came from. Or more specifically, where you both came from originally. You, and everyone else are eagerly waiting to hear her reply.

"Well... It's sorta a secret." Caroline smiled awkwardly. Several seconds of shocked staring and gaping mouths of disbelief fall over the group.

"What kind of answer is that?!" Snotlout exclaimed what you were all thinking.

"Calm down! It's location and name is secret, but what I can tell you is how it looks like." Caroline said quickly while waving her hands in the air in attempt to calm everyone.

"Why can't you tell us anything else? Why so secretive?" Astrid growled, obviously irritated that she was so close to finding where you came from. Only to get a piece of the puzzle. You huffed, frustrated a bit yourself.

"I wish I could, but I was sworn never to say. (Y/N) did too,... When he still remembered that is." Caroline casts a sad look at you. Showing she was still upset that you had amnesia. You guess she covered up her hurt when you first told her because you were in a dangerous situation at the time. You shifted uncomfortably under her stare and adverted your gaze so you were looking into the dancing flames of the fire.

"Tell us what you can then" Astrid said bluntly. You heard Caroline shift in her spot a bit to get more comfortable.

"Alright, one thing is that we came from a pretty large village that co-existed with dragons. Mainly the Wolly Howls that populate the area." She began.

"What about (Y/N)'s Nightfury, or your Sand Wraith?" Fishlegs asked. You hadn't even thought about questioning that, you just sorta accepted it.

"I don't know much about Cobalt's story. Just that they sorta grew up together. Oh and the fact that Cobalt isn't exactly a normal Nightury." Caroline started to explain. Fishlegs opened his mouth but Caroline held up a hand to stop him. "He's different because his egg was frozen in ice, causing his scales to be a unique color and also fire blasts that are what we like to call freeze flames. Fire that is actually cold, so cold it burns your skin."

Your eyes widen at this information, you can't help but be in awe of Cobalt. "As for Tawni, I'm the only one from home that ever tamed a Sand Wraith." Caroline sounded a bit proud saying that. You know she is puffing out her chest without having to look at her. "I found her injured near our village by the jerks that took me hostage. I was surprised she managed to fly all the way out to us because of her state. But after several long weeks of a moody dragon, she finally warmed up to me." You could hear the smirk in Caroline's voice. For some reason, you scoffed at her tale with a role of your eyes. A feeling of nostalgia washed over you, but of course as usual, your mind refused to provide any answers to why.

"Anything else?" Snotlout propped his legs up on Hookfang's tail. Hookfang pulled his tail from under him in response causing Snotlout to fall back.

"Well, I guess I can say that this is the first time (Y/N) and I have been away from our home." Caroline mentioned as she scratched the back of her neck. Your eyes widen in realization as you recall your dream. The dream with Caroline in it and the underground village. You do remember your own voice mentioning something about wanting to leave but couldn't because of your... Mom.

"Caroline." You spoke up for the first time as you looked at her, bringing her attention to you. "What about my family?" You asked. She suddenly looked uncomfortable.

"Oh well, you are an only child that lives with your Mom, Amalthea." Caroline answered.

"Is she alright?" You question threw her off guard. "I know something happened, but I don't have the details. So is she okay?" You asked, worried. Caroline went silent and avoided eye contact with you. Tawni made an uneasy gurgling sound. Everyone was quiet, watching the conversation between you two play out.

"Caroline," you warned. "What. Happened?" She closed her eyes and hung her shoulders in defeat.

"She was captured." She answered bluntly. (I bet you guys thought she died. ) before you could ask another question she continued. "She was the only one captured and spared among the many people who volunteered to forced the Agirifa (A-gir-if-a, I put together wiki's norse words and this happened... yeah.) clan, or the jerks out of our home. Before she was captured, she made a defense that they couldn't get past and gave you the only key to unlock it. Then she had me make sure you escaped safely." Caroline explained, petting the top Tawni's head with sad eyes. Tawni herself made a sad exhale.

You didn't know how to exactly respond to this news. You just sat there in shocked silence as you looked at the ground. Your amnesia kept you from truly feeling sad about it, it felt more foreign to you than anything. At least you felt a twinge of sadness, but you wished that you could feel a bit more for the news you just heard.

"Wait, why did they only spare her then? Or you for that matter because everyone else was killed." Astrid pointed out. Then a thought crossed your mind.

Is it because of me? Am I really that special? Caroline stayed silent for a few moments, contemplating whether to tell or not. Then her next words just shock you even more.

        "Because... she's our Cheiftess."
