Asa no Yumi (Akatsuki no Yona)

Chapter 1

Third POV

King II was holding a ceremony of the 10th anniversary of his father's death, also announcing the matters of his two daughters' birthdays that will be coming soon. Meanwhile Princess Yona was at her room with her sister Princess Yumi and Min-Soo. Yona was preparing herself to get ready to go to the ceremony while Yumi was just helping Min-Soo convincing her that she looks perfectly fine to go to the ceremony.

Yona complains "But my hair is like a mess and the color of my hair looks weird and it won't straighten out like Yumi-nee-sama's!"

"Listen Yona, your hair looks perfectly fine and also my hair color is unusual too. So you don't have to worry." Said Yumi.

"But Soo-Won will be coming, I don't want him to see me like this!" Yona yelled.

"Well he is our childhood friend, so I think he would not really mind." Yumi said.

Later King II comes in with Hak who is the princesses' childhood friend and bodyguard.

She ran into her father while she was about to head out.

"Yona why are you in such a rush? Do you need to go somewhere?" Said King II

"Huh? I'm heading to the ceremony, don't tell me it ended without us greeting the people!"

"Oh it ended and we don't really need to show you guys to the people."

Min-Soo said "Well King II, she was busy fixing her hair."

"Also complaining that it looks weird." Yumi added.

"Nee-sama!!!"

"Oh, Yona your hair looks perfectly fine, and it doesn't look weird at all. Right Hak?"

"Yes King, her hair looks good. The only thing that is weird is actually her brain." He gives a weird grin.

"Hak, you stupid general." She grab everything she could find and throw it at Hak. Of course he caught everything.

Then all of a sudden, Yumi could hear someone walking down the halls. Right away she knew who it is.

"Hey Yona, maybe you should stop throwing those things at Hak. I think someone is walking down the halls coming this way."

"Huh, someone is here, wait could it be him?!"

Yona rushed out of the room, running towards the someone she was expecting. Boom, she bumped into someone who seems familiar to her.

When Yona looked up, she saw Soo-Won. She ended up blushing after bumping into him.

"Yona-hime, what is the rush that you have to run in the hallway?" He ask.

"Yumi-nee said she heard someone, so I thought it would be you and came to pick you up."

"Oh, how nice of you Yona-hime!" As Soo-Won patted her head, Yumi walked down to where they were. After seeing her, Soo-Won ran to them and greet them.

"Hey Yumi-hime, how are you?"

"Yo, I'm fine." Yumi replied.

"That's good! You're birthday is also coming up soon isn't it. Wah, I'm so excited for you guys." Soo-Won said happily.

"Well, don't get too excited. Also, you don't need to address me a 'hime'. You know we are a family." Yumi said. 

"Yah... It's a habit. Sorry." Soo-Won sulked.

"Anyways... Glad you are doing okay." Yumi smiled.

Yona was standing there getting jealous of what's going on.

"So where is Hak and King II?" Soo-Won asked.

"Oh, father is in Yona's room right now. As for Hak... discover that yourself." Yumi bluntly said.

"Still the same... Thanks Yumi, I will go greet him." Then Soo-Won ran off.

(Next Day)

The next morning Yona woke up and got dressed and went to her father. She followed her father to the arrow shooting course finding Hak, Soo-Won, and Yumi.

"Hey Hak, want to see who is good at shooting arrows?"

"Sure."

"I will be the judge!"

"Okay Yumi, you can be the judge."

While Yona and King II standing from above watching them.

"Father, I want to go and play with them too to shoot arrows!"

"You absolutely can't. I won't let you use weapons, I don't even want them to use it either."

"Then father you do it!"

"No, I'm scared."

"You are a coward king!"

Down by the shooting course, Soo-Won went first and shot the arrow and was close to the bullseye. Then Hak rode the horse and shot the arrow.

"Bullseye!" Yumi shouted.

"Looks like you still have your skills Hak, looks like I can't beat you."

"Don't say that, you can do it next time."

"Hey Princess Yumi want to try?" Asked Hak.

"Me?! Are you sure, I don't think I can." Yumi said also thinking 'I don't want to let them know that I can handle weapons.'

"Don't worry I will protect you if something happens." Hak reassured.

"Ugh... Okay then, I will try."

"But can you even get on a horse?" Hak said teasingly.

"Don't tease me like that! If you had known me for years you should know how athletic I am!" Yumi screamed at Hak.

"Maa...maa... Yumi, I'm sure Hak didn't mean it." Soo-Won said trying to calm me down.

"Alright, fine. But since Hak said that... Hak, you are gonna be my stool to get on the horse instead of me wasting my energy to jump on." Yumi said with a smirk.

"Ehhh?!" Hak shouted.

"Don't 'ehh' me. Hurry up you meany." Yumi said.

She went on the horse with the help of Hak and then off she goes, she then pulls the bow string. Then the arrow went flying to the board while Yona and the others watched. BAM!

The arrow hit the bullseye, it hit straight in the middle which also split Hak's arrow in half. All the others had a shocked face except her father. Yumi was thinking 'Oops, I shouldn't have done this. I don't want the people to know that I know how to handle weapons.'

"Wow Princess Yumi, I didn't know your aim was really good." Said Hak

"Wait, it was just luck. It's impossible for someone like me to shoot the arrow in the middle."

"Oh really Yumi, I thought you were skilled by the way you were shooting it. Plus you splitted Hak's arrow in half." Said Soo-Won.

"Haha... That was pure luck, okay?" Yumi said nervously.

Then Yona came down saying that she wants to play too. But her father is keeping saying no from where he is standing. Then Soo-Won asked her, "Do you want to ride the horse with me?"

Yona yelled in excitement "Yes!!"

Yumi's POV

I was just riding on the horse until I heard Yona talking about who gave her a marriage proposal. I guess that she can't say her crush, she wants to make him jealous and she can't think of anyone and said "I have one, Hak." Yep I guessed it. And do you know what Soo-Won said to her?

"Oh, that is a good choice Yona-hime." So Yona pouts while Hak heard what she said and was somewhat shocked. Yona was probably thinking in her head 'I didn't mean that, what the heck am I thinking!' I was literally laughing, "Hak, my brother. Congrats." I said still laughing which was only responded by a death glare.
