Back in Giri, Sheke slammed the table. "YOU DID WHAT?"
"We had to. We knew you would've objected." Shesa said. The gians had taken a meeting in a new council house and Sheke had been invited. He had just finished getting caught up. Frosk was missing because he said he had to attend to some of the Froskahn needs. He also would take his shift of watching over Fyki.
"No, that guy was the only thing that could've led us to Rina. Now we have nothing!"
"Rina isn't the only person in this!" Colan shot back. "Vina is in danger too. Maybe more so because she is a gian!"
"At least Vina can use powers!" Sheke said. "Rina only has her staff. And I highly doubt they are going to let her keep it!"
"Oh, right, like a staff would help much anyway. Your sword snapped in half!"
"Separate, you two." Theon interjected. "Fighting each other is not going to help us."
"Yes, let's focus on something else." Shesa said. "Like what Zime wants."
"I agree with Shesa." Aruki said. "So let's sit down and discuss what he could be after."
Sheke and Colan sat down reluctantly. They crossed their arms. Theon sighed. "Well, he might want something from us; after all, he seemed to have targeted the two for a reason. He didn't send the troops to attack the town to conquer it."
"That is true." Mesan said. "Maybe he wants to learn about creating life?"
"He created the Zikor." Sheke said. "Don't you remember that?"
"I think he means gian life." Aruki clarified. Mesan nodded.
"That is what I meant."
"If he wants to do that," Shesa said. "then we are in a bigger hole than we thought."
"Agreed." Theon said. "I don't want even to guess at what he could create."
"Or what he WOULD create." Mesan added. "We need to talk to him. For all we know, Vina's been turned like Fyrca."
"Don't talk about that." Colan said. "But I do agree we need to talk to him."
"And how are we going to get his attention?" Aruki asked.
"Wave a flag that says 'Yo, Zime, we need to talk?' " Sheke suggested sarcastically. And so a bright yellow banner with the words in bright pink was flown inside the border of Daeki. Sheke sat on a rock nearby.
"You guys did know that I was kidding...Right?" He asked. Aruki shrugged.
"This plan is probably as good as any."
"And we didn't really have any other ideas." Shesa said. Sheke rolled his eyes. "So how long do you think we have to wait?"
"Who knows." Theon answered, shrugging. "I guess we'll find out."
Fortunately for them, they didn't have to wait long. Zime landed where they were. Sheke pulled out his new sword, but Mesan held out a hand to stop him.
"Who's idea was the stupid banner?" Zime said. "It's very childish."
"That would be his." Colan gestured at Sheke with his thumb.
"For the record, the point was that it was a stupid idea that we shouldn't have taken."
"Ouch, kid." Zime said. "I feel bad for you."
"Well, you have my secorus locked away. I don't feel bad for you - I only feel hatred."
"Wait, Rina is your secorus?" Zime laughed. "No wonder you're here then!"
"Cut the chatter." Theon said. "Tell us where Rina and Vina are."
"Sure I will." Zime said. "After you tell me how you created gians."
"So we were right. That's...just great." Aruki said. Zime shrugged.
"We can't exactly tell you how." Shesa said. "The process isn't really...that special."
"Well, what do you do?'
"We can't tell you that." Colan answered.
"And why not? After all, I won't give you your two lovely friends back if you don't. Or at least, not in a proper condition." Zime added with a chuckle. Mesan held Sheke back and Zime noticed. "Ah, did that strike a nerve?"
"Shut up!" Sheke yelled.
"Fine, we will tell you." Theon sighed. "We focus our energy and pour it into whatever we are creating."
"Seriously?" Zime looked around all of them and laughed. "That's it?"
"...Yes." Shesa said. "Don't sound so surprised. After all, it was you who thought it was a big secret."
"It can't be that easy." He said. "You all are lying."
"Apparently, we aren't." Colan replied flatly.
"Fine. I'll see if you are." Zime tried it. He remembered how his land is very dark. He focused on making the darkest person he could. The result was a black haired, black eyed boy with grey skin. Zime made some zetrian clothing and covered the boy with it. "Well then. I see you were telling the truth."
"Now give us back the girls." Colan demanded. Zime rolled his eyes, snapped his fingers, and the two girls appeared. Zime snapped again and the new gian was gone. Zime smiled as he faded from sight. Sheke ran to Rina as Vina ran to Colan. Colan aged a bit so he would look closer to Vina's age. Colan asked her what was wrong.
"Zime...he." Vina held him tight. "He terrifies me. He tried to corrupt me but it didn't work. And he threatened to corrupt Rina. Oh, it was horrible."
"Shh." Colan said. "You are here with us now. He is gone."
"How did you get us back?" Rina asked Sheke.
"We told him how to make a gian."
"What? Isn't that bad?"
"He only created one so far."
"But he can create more."
"True." Theon put a hand on Rina's shoulder. "But we will be prepared for whatever happens."
He awoke with a start. He could see everything clearly but could tell it was very dark. He looked at the clothes in his lap and put them on. He walked over to the door and opened it. There was a bald man writing something down. "E...excuse me."
The bald man looked up and smiled kindly. He got up from his chair. "Ah, Shad. You are awake."
"Sh..Shad?"
"That is your name, isn't it?"
"Well, I guess it is." The boy said after some thought. "And your name?"
"Zime. I'm your father." The man said. He gestured for him to walk over. Shad walked by the desk. He looked at a list of names and words. The repeating words were 'shadow,' 'death,' and 'blood.' The name 'Shad' was circled and starred. There were five other names that were circled: Vecu, Venia, Daek, Dekani, and Shae.
"What is that?" Shad asked.
"A list of names."
"The one with the star and circle is mine."
"Yes."
"Why are the others circled?"
"They are for the other two children."
"Where are they?" Shad asked.
"They...haven't been created yet."
"When will they be?"
"Now." Zime went around the desk. "I was waiting for you to wake up."
Shad watched as two dark orbs were formed and slowly stretched out. They were covered in alzuk clothes and began to walk. The female was then named Venia and The male was named Daek.
Remember to vote and comment your ideas. This week's question is what elements do you think Zime has created?
