CHASE LAID AWAKE WHILE tom slept. no matter how many times he closed his eyes he couldn't fall asleep. he was playing out the scene of alec punching tom over and over again in his head and it made his heart hurt. he rolled onto his side and sighed at the bruising on tom's eye. it had only been a few hours since it happened, so he was afraid that it would look ten times worse than it already did.

tom tiredly groaned, but refused to open his eyes. "go to sleep." chase frowned, rolling over to face the other way. tom cuddled up to him, pressing his stomach to chase's back. he leaned over the younger boy to quickly turn off the nightstand light and felt content when the room fell into darkness. the two laid in silence for about ten minutes before tom sighed. "you're not even attempting to sleep, are you?"

"i can't." chase whispered as he looked into the darkness. "i'm too anxious."

"you have no reason to be." tom mumbled, pressing his lips to the back of chase's head. "just relax." his lips moved to the crook of chase's neck and he bit lightly at the skin, causing chase to stiffen up. tom continued to litter kisses on his neck and jaw, nibbling at the skin every few seconds. chase whined, fidgeting in tom's arms, causing the older boy to let out a small chuckle.

the younger boy spun around and eagerly pressed his lips to tom's. tom grabbed the boy's face, deepening the kiss. chase straddled tom's stomach, leaning into the kiss as he started to slide tom's shirt up his body. he winced as the shirt brushed over his eye and chase immediately frowned. tom smiled, slightly sitting up with chase still on top of him. he gave the blue eyed boy a reassuring nod and kissed him again. tom's fingers laced in tom's hair and chase's rested on tom's jaw.

the two remained that way, kissing for awhile. chase's shirt was next to come off and they flipped spots. tom hovered over chase, kissing down his neck to his collarbone, and to his chest. light loans escaped both their lips and their eyes adjusted to the dark so they were able to see each other.

chase held tom's face in his hands and smiled up at the boy. "i love you."

tom leaned down to kiss chase again. "i love you too."

hearing those four words made chase's heart fly. he felt like all his problems vanished and the only two people in the world were himself and tom. his heart pounded and he kissed the older boy once more before lightly pushing tom off of him. his brown eyes looked black in the dark and chase was happy he couldn't see the boy's black eye.

"you okay?" tom questioned as he brought the covers up to his waist. chase already knew it was because the boy had a hard on, but he wasn't in the mood to joke about it because he may or may not have had one also.

chase smiled at him. "i'm okay. i'm just happy." he was beyond happy. he felt amazing and he never thought he would feel like way he did. "i just wish i'd met you sooner."

tom chuckled, "yeah, me too. i wouldn't get so much shit for dating a minor and your brother wouldn't hate me." that made chase frown, but tom simply smiled. "you are the greatest decision i've ever made and never forget that."

chase grabbed the back of tom's neck and pulled him closer to himself. "yeah, enough sappy talk." their lips molded together again and both boys went under the covers.

chase was already up and moving by the time tom woke up. he was already dressed and finishing up some last minute homework. tom remained in the bed while he watched chase sit on the couch, concentrating hard on what he was working on.

the younger boy scribbled out a wrong answer and corrected himself before closing the notebook. he shoved it, along with his textbook, in his backpack and zipped it up. he had to leave for school, but didn't want to wake the older boy. as chase glanced over at the bed a small smile formed on his face. "good morning." he greeted, walking over to the bed. he bent down to kiss tom and lightly placed a kiss to his eye. "i have to leave. you're can stay in bed though. i'll just walk."

tom scoffed, throwing the sheets off him. "no, i'm taking you. let me just throw some pants on." he slid on sweatpants and grabbed his car keys from on his dresser. the two headed out to tom's car and climbed in. as they arrived in front of the school they spotted amara, tyler, and matteo lingering in the parking lot. "do they know?" tom questioned.

chase shook his head, "nope." he gave the older boy a hug. "i'll see you later."

tom nodded, "i'll pick you up. i should be done with class by then."

the blue eyed boy climbed out of the car and took a deep breath before heading towards the school entrance. "chase!" matteo's voice was heard from across the parking lot. chase turned to look at him and matteo gave him a small smile. "i overheard alec talking to mom last night. she's not happy with him, but she is happy for you. i'm happy for you too." chase simply pursed his lips and gave him a small nod as a thank you. "how's tom's eye?"

"bad." chase answered.

"wait, what happened to tom's eye?" amara asked as her and tyler joined the conversation. "why were you just with him?"

"it doesn't matter." matteo tried to back him up, but chase didn't care what anyone thought anymore.

he was very blunt, "alec punched tom in the face yesterday for admitting to him that he liked me. i was with tom because i didn't want to be in the same house as my asshole of a brother and before you ask, yes. tom is my boyfriend. no, i don't give a shit about the age difference."

tyler smiled, "good for you, dude. you deserve this."

amara nodded in agreement, hugging the boy as she whispered, "you deserve tom."
