CHAPTER 4:
FRESH MEAT
SONG FOR CHAPTER:
BAD REPUTATION BY SHAWN MENDES

"Just keep your head low and don't ever make eye contact with anyone at the round table" Zach had spoken. Daniel turned his head in the direction of a red table. It was round like said and held a bunch of people. A bunch of people who had the best clothes and amazing looks. The two were currently at lunch and Daniel was lucky that the smaller boy had popped out of nowhere like he usually does. If he didn't, then the brunette would had sworn he would be eating in the hallway for his first day. "I said don't make eye contact" Zach muttered and forcing Daniel to move his face with his special abilities.

"Sorry" Daniel whimpered out and allowing Zach to guide them to a different table near the back. It wasn't too bad. It was near a window. It had shown most of the green scenery from outside. Yeah, it was farther away from most of the students in the overly large building; but both boys didn't mind. The teenage boys placed their trays of food down and ate in silence. But of course, Daniel being himself, he let his eyes wander all over. He could tell where everyone sat. It was like a stereotypical highschool cafeteria. You sat at a table that described your personality. Daniel obviously noticed he was a outsider, along with Zach and sat in the far back. He could also see that Jack sat somewhere near the hipsters. The two locked gazes, causing the blue eyed boy to break the gaze and look somewhere else. And again disobeying Zach's orders he trailed his eye sight to the round table. He now realized Corbyn sat there. He had his arm wrapped around some brunette and was laughing. Daniel doesn't know why but he felt a fire burn within him.

And without noticing, the round table was soon covered in some type of liquid. Daniel's eyes went wide and he cringed at his third mistake today. The girls at the table started freaking out, while the guys seemed to just be yelling profanities. Daniel and Corbyn locked eyes, making him look away to a different guy that was basically seething with anger. He was glaring holes at Daniel, as if he already knew he did it.

Which he did.

And he doesn't know how. Was it because he had seen Corbyn smiling with someone different? He shouldn't be jealous. They just met, and their first impressions of each other wasn't the best.

Daniel quickly turned away from the angry man, already feeling his presence get closer every second. Looking at Zach, he was basically shaking in fear.

"I told you not to look. And yet you did" The pale boy mumbled, before squeaking. He quickly hid under the table as soon as a hand was being pressed against Daniel's shoulder. The brunette flinched but slowly turned around anyway. He was met with a blonde male who seemed a couple of years older. He was buff and seemed to be a lot stronger than Daniel's twig self.

"You're the one that exploded that drink on us" Daniel whimpered lightly. He could get his face pounded in at any minute. And the silence in the cafeteria wasn't helping. Everyone was watching. The brunette was actually going to give a quick apology, but someone had stepped in between the two; causing the grip on Daniel's shoulder to disappear. And soon he was met with the back, of a different guy.

"Just leave him alone Dominic. Your little group deserved it anyway" the mysterious male had spoken and pushing the Dominic guy a few steps back. The blonde bully growled, cracking his knuckles.

"You're not in this Marais" Dominic stated lowly. He seemed as if he wanted to punch the living hell out of the dark brunette standing before him, but had to restrain himself. The blonde had glanced at Daniel and gave a deathly glare, before looking back up at the taller boy. He huffed and clenched his fist. "This isn't over. Remember that" Dominic finished, walking out of the cafeteria. His group of friends followed him, making Daniel let out a sigh of relief. Or well for now. The rest of students went back to their business, obviously not caring anymore.
