CHAPTER 7:
MAIN OFFICE
SONG FOR CHAPTER:
TALKING TO THE MOON BY BRUNO MARS

"Please don't make me. Mom I feel terrible" Daniel pleaded while looking outside the car window. Rain was pouring, hitting the glass window, practically showing how the brunette was feeling at the moment. It was pretty gloomy outside. Every student or school facility member that had walked through the front doors of the large building, didn't look too happy either. It was just a bad day. And everyone was feeling it.

"I'm sorry. But I'm not leaving you at home by yourself; you could seriously get hurt. Just think about the bright side and get out of my car" his mom bluntly replied and looking in the rearview mirror. She was making sure that she looked descent for the job interview she was going too. Her first job at the new town didn't go so well, and so she was set free. Daniel leaned back in the seat, sighing.

"Mom, there is no bright side. It's raining out. And plus, I'm going to school" He stated back, shifting his gaze towards the rain again. In all honesty Daniel loved the feeling, sound and scent of rain. It made him feel numb to everything. And if he could, he would just sit on his front porch and take in the weather forever.

"Just go" she said and unlocking the car door. Daniel had sighed once again, before readjusting his strap to his school bag on his shoulder. He placed his jacket hood over his head and exited the vehicle. He gave his mother a quick "I love you" before closing the door. He turned on his heels, so he was facing the large building. He took a deep breath in, before beginning his journey into the school.

It just dropped his mood even more.

When walking in, almost instantly all heads snapped towards him. There were glares, snobby looks and even murmurs being thrown his way. He rolled his eyes at all the immature students, before making his way towards his locker. He kept his head low, and made sure his hood blocked most of his face.

"I heard that Dominic almost died."

"Dominic told me himself that the new kid is a freak."

"Did you hear about the new kid going crazy and almost killing Dominic?"

It was the only thing Daniel kept hearing, as he placed his non needed materials away. And every second that he heard a new rumour, his anger rose. It's not his fault. Dominic tested his limits, making him spiral out of control. And considering he was one of the popular people, no one dared to question what he said. He was always the good guy in these situations. And everyone else who even tried to step to him was always the bad one. So to Daniel, Dominic won. He won without even trying.

The thought made Daniel slam his locker shut with rage. People near him, jumped in fear. And only a few seconds later, a poster was set on fire. The brunette watched the paper go up in flames, along with other students beginning to freak out and move out the way. Daniel simply took a deep breath in, before raising his hand and putting the fire out. Some students looked at him with wide eyes, while others began to talk about him even more. He couldn't stand how quick something could spread. And just as he was about to head to his first class, not wanting to be in a crowded hallway anymore; the brunette had heard someone clear their throat behind him. He lightly turned around, to be met with the school principal. He cringed lightly at the sight.
