CHAPTER 18:
LET'S BEGIN THEN
SONG FOR CHAPTER:
DEAD BY MADISON BEER

"Glad your not just a pathetic helper. Better than your dad at least" the darkness chuckled while staring off at a screen. It was split so he was able to see five sections. One section for each miserable teenage boy.

"Thank you sir" Dominic grinned widely, before turning to face his dad. The blonde male just crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. But when Dominic nudged him for something more, the older male gave a small grin himself, patting his son on the back for his accomplishment.

"Now be gone, while I figure out a plan on when to strike. We gotta strike now or it'll be too late. I can already tell they want to make up with each other" the darkness spoke and motioning for the two blondes to leave. They nodded, even though he couldn't see them. So with a simple "yes sir" they exited the dark room and left the person they worshipped to be all alone with his screen. "I'll get you Seavey. You and your pathetic friends."

The man let his hood down before he slammed his hand down on his desk. He turned his head so he was looking at himself through a mirror. He smirked before running a hand through his brown hair. And he even began laughing evilly as he finally figured out when he should attack perfect little Stewbridge. His light blue eyes started glowing before shifting to a simple black.

"Let's begin then" he muttered to himself while standing to his feet. He placed his hood back over his face and again gave a wicked grin. He moved his hand around him before he disappeared like a puff of smoke. Nothing but the glowing screen of the five teens showing in the room.

"Dani. Daniel, honey. I know it's the weekend but you shouldn't be cooped up in your room all day. Why don't you go next door and see what Zach's doing?" The single mother wondered and opening her son's door lightly. Hearing the name of one of his friends made him curl and tighten his grip on his blankets even more. Luckily his back was facing her, so he didn't have to explain why he looked as if he has been crying for weeks. He hasn't told his mother on what happened with the boys, only because he knows she's gonna wanna want him to go sort it all out.

But he didn't want to sort it out.

Maybe this was for the best.

"I'm fine mom" Daniel choked out. It came out muffled from him covering his face with the blankets. His mother frowned at him. She could tell her son was upset and honestly she doesn't know the first thing about comforting him. He never came to her with his problems before; so she never had to give comforting words. But she was here to try if he was.

"No you're not. Tell me what's wrong. I promise I won't judge. I just wanna be here for you" she replies and entering his room even more. He turned to face her, but rolled his eyes and went back to his original position. He doesn't know why, but little tears began to erupt once more. He didn't even know if he had anymore left to shed. He's been crying since the whole thing happened. And considering he could feel the other boys crying too, his heart couldn't really take the pain. He felt like it was shattered.

"I-I said I'm f-fine" he stuttered out with a little sniffle. He cursed himself mentally for allowing his mother to see his guard down. Now she definitely knew something was wrong. So being the worried mother that she is, she closed the bedroom door before slowly making her way over to Daniel's bed. She carefully sat on the end and rubbed his side. Just from the comforting touch, Daniel let out his sobs. He turned so he was facing his mom and shown her how broken he felt.
