CHAPTER 24:
THE END...
SONG FOR CHAPTER:
HALO BY BEYONCE

"Could you stop poking me right there, it hurts you know" Corbyn sighed obviously a little annoyed. Zach looked up to meet the bleached blonde's already tired stare; and with a shrug and straight face he turned the opposite way and started poking Jack. The curly haired boy just snapped his head in the direction of Zach and glared at him. The youngest raised his hands up in defense, before mumbling things under his breath and facing forward in his seat.

"Wait!" Jonah perked up. All three boys looked at him with confusion and interest. "You said Zach poking you on your wound hurt. So why didn't the rest of us feel it?" All the boys looked at each other, before actually taking the question into deep thought. He was completely right. When thinking about it, none of them felt any powerful emotion anymore. It's like they weren't one person.

"Quick, pinch yourself" Jack said. Zach was the only one to do it, and he was the only one who reacted. "Nothing. What happened? I actually haven't felt anything sense we exited that circle we were trapped in."

"Me too. Do you think the darkness did this to us?" Corbyn wondered. He looked between his friends with a hint of worry. If he was able to disconnect them as a person, then what else might have he done to them.

"Um, I know I might be a little late. And I know it's not supposed to show up when we're in the outside world, but Jack where's your tattoo?" Zach wondered as he hovered his hand over Jack's forearm. They all now looked not knowing what was going on. It was confusing, making each of them check their respected places for the mark. Nothing.

"This doesn't make any sense" Jonah muttered aloud. "He wasn't able to strip us from our power. So how was he able to remove our-" the taller male was cut off from a loud bang happening. The four boys jumped from their spots in the hospital chairs and carefully made their way to the sudden crash. Looking, the four of them seen a tall blonde man observing the hospital as if looking for something. And once spotting the four teenage boys he immediately made his way over to them with a strict and firm form. The boys stepped back in fear, until they were blocked by a wall.

"What do you want from us..." Corbyn asked before gulping. "...sir?".

The mysterious male removed the black shades that were blocking his eyes, to allow the fours boys to see his ocean blue ones. They shrunk in their place from the sudden intense stare.

"Jonah Marais. Jack Avery. Corbyn Besson and Zach Herron?" The man wondered while raising an eyebrow. They shook their heads fast, not liking the fact that a tall buff man has them cornered in a deserted place of a hospital; while they were still recovering slightly. The man's once straight face turned into a smile, along with his aura suddenly lightening. "Logan. Logan Paul. Nice to meet you! The Lord had sent me out to help protect you and finish the darkness off for good. But one question, he said there was five of you. Where's Mr Seavey?" He didn't get a direct answer as the four boys looked at him with jaws dropped.

"You're protecting us?" Zach squeaked out.

"Isn't that what I said?" Logan asked and tilting his head lightly, before going back in his mind to rethink everything he just said.

"No, you did. We're just trying our best to process it" Jack replied. Logan smiled while nodding to prove he understood. And he was even going to say something else, but was stopped as a different voice had interrupted them.

"Boys! He's awake. You can see him if you want" they all turned their heads to face the person; it being Jack's father. Zach began bouncing with excitement. "Oh, hey Logan. Another mission I see" The blonde male just nodded to approve before giving the father of one a side hug.

"Okay great! You two connected again, now let's go see Daniel" Zach rushed while already walking ahead of the group. A skip in each step.

"I never really understood Zach" Jack's father joked and nudging his son in the arm. The curly haired boy simply rolled his eyes, while gracing his face with a smile.

"Me either" Jack stated before chuckling.

"But he sure is a cutie" Jonah snickered.

"Definitely" Corbyn smirked.

"What do you mean, was kidnapped!?" The one and only Daniel Seavey shouted at the other adults that stood before him.

"I'm sorry, is this a bad time?" Zach joked while knocking on the hospital door. But his smile was instantly dropped when seeing the upset faces everyone held.

"No seriously, is something wrong?" Jonah had questioned after. All of them entered the room and surrounded Daniel on his hospital bed.

"Yes, something is wrong! And who is that guy?" Daniel complained before calming and pointing at Logan who stood off to the side. The blonde looked behind him, noticing no one was behind him; so he faced the group of people and pointed to himself. "Yes you. Who do think I'm talking about? Casper?" Daniel replied irritated. Jack had to punch him in the arm as to signal to be nice. The brunette rolled his eyes.

"I'm Logan. Logan Paul. I've officially been signed over to protect you guys by the Lord" the blonde replies and walking over to Daniel with his hand out for a shake. "And I'm guessing your Mr Seavey?" The brunette eyed the taller male, before shaking the larger hand and confirming that he was indeed Mr Seavey.

"It's nice to see you again Logan. How long has it been since I last seen you?" Jonah's mother smiled warmly and bringing Logan in for a side hug.

"Too long" he answered. Her smile only widened.

"When's the last time you had gotten a hair cut?" Corbyn's mother scoffed while walking over to the taller male and began fixing him up. Everyone rolled their eyes.

"Still your uptight self as I can see" Logan stated while flashing a toothy grin.

"At least I'm not...whatever you are" she gagged before stepping back.

"She's right through" Jack's father chuckled and ruffling Logan's hair. "You do need a haircut. It looks like you got a mop on your head."

"Ha. Ha. At least I don't have a son who decided that they wanted their hair to duplicate Ramen noodles" Logan replied, while pointing at Jack.

"Hey!" The teenage boy protested. He earned a few snickers, as Corbyn decided he now wanted to touch Jack's hair. Of course the curly haired boy smacked Corbyn's hand away with a frown.

Soon they all fell into a discussion about who's haired looked the best, and or who's hair looked the funniest. It was irritating. But only for one simple brunette, who had bigger problems to worry about. And as the voices of the others got louder, Daniel got angrier. He gripped the hospital bed sheets before shouting.

"HAIR DOESN'T MATTER RIGHT NOW!"

Everyone focused their attention on Daniel with shocked and hurt expressions.

"What matters, is saving my mom from a person who I used to call Dad" Daniel said next, taking the four other teenage boys by surprise.

"Aw, come on. I thought this was the end" Corbyn whined.

"Nope, it's only the beginning."
