SOMETHING DIFFERENT BY WHY DON'T WE
"Dani, please help your father put the food on the table. Our guest should be here any minute" Daniel's mother ordered while grabbing a few more things down from the cabinets. The brunette nodded his head, exiting the kitchen with a bowl of salad. And while he was placing it on their brown table, the doorbell had gone off. He perked up at the sound and wiped his hands on his pants.
"I got it!" He shouted to his parents as he made his way towards the front door. He looked out the peep hole to see that it was Zach and his grandmother. Daniel grinned to himself and right after moving so he was able to swing the door open. And when seeing each other, both teenage boys smiled brightly. Zach's grandmother looked between the two with a cheeky grin. She seen something spark between the two, and was already loving it. "Nice to see you two again. Even if it was only a few hours."
"Well aren't you so sweet? It's a pleasure as well. All Zach does is ramble about how amazing you are" the older women greeted back and sticking a hand out. Daniel happily took it and glanced at the pale boy making him blush. He dropped his gaze to the ground now feeling embarrassed.
"Well he's just as amazing. Please come in, my parents are around somewhere" The brunette replies. He moved lightly and opened the door more so the two were able to step in. Zach's grandmother had walked off instantly hoping to find the two parents, while the pale boy himself stood sheepishly next to Daniel. His cheeks still held color as he awkwardly twiddled with his fingers.
"I'm sorry about her, she just loves to embarrass me when she can" Zach blurted and finally locking eyes with Daniel. The brunette smirked and cocked an eyebrow. His eyes lit up with mischief. They actually turned purple before quickly back to blue. Zach tilted his head at the sudden color change. He wonders what it meant.
"My Babe!" A familiar voice then fills their ears. Both boys look away from each other and towards the still open door. It was Corbyn and his mother standing there looking more classy then before. The bleached blonde wore a nice fitted suit, but without the blazer. And his mother had on an amazing pink no sleeved dress. Her neck was aligned with pearls, along with holding a matching hand bag.
"Corbyn. No wrinkles" his mother snapped, causing him to stand straight once again. He sighed, while she grazed her face with a pleasant grin. Daniel glanced at Zach to see he was already annoyed with their presence.
"Uh, thanks for coming. But this wasn't anything formal. You could have shown up in something way more comfortable" The brunette had said and moving so that the other two guest were aloud in his house. Corbyn moved so he was standing right next to Zach and his mother stopped to observe Daniel who wore something as simple as a random band shirt and sweatpants. He had no one to impress so what did it matter.
"I'll keep that in mind for next time" she cheekily replied and raising an eyebrow. Daniel fidgeted under her gaze.
"My parents, I think are in the dining room already if you wanna-" he was cut off by her simply turning on her heels and walking away. They all watched her go and released breaths they didn't even know they were holding. She seemed a lot more strict when her kid isn't in pain.
"Thank God" Corbyn breathed and slouching his posture just a little; it didn't look like he had a board sticking in the back of his shirt anymore. "And don't worry, she'll warm up to you" he reassured.
"It's been four years of knowing you and I still don't think she has warmed up to me" Zach replied and crossing his arms across his chest. The two looked at each other, making Corbyn shrug. Zach yet again rolled his eyes, while Corbyn went and wrapped his arms around Daniel who's face instantly dropped. He knew the blonde was going to be really clingy, which was something he didn't want. Daniel wasn't much of a touchy kind of guy. Yeah, he had his moments where he would randomly want to be held, but right now wasn't one of those moments. And they were only when he was really upset, or sick.
