Here's Chapter 1 for you guys!

The day Artemis had been waiting for, had finally arrived. She was standing in a highly decorated church, but was wearing her civvies. Her fiancé of two months, Wally West, came up close to her, and placed a gentle, yet fast kiss on her neck, before saying softly, "Today's the day, babe. Our wedding day..." Artemis sighed, "I can't believe it's here, after waiting this long. I mean, I never thought in my whole hero career and civilian life that I would fall in love with a speedster, but you, Kid Klutz, changed all that, when you ran into me." Wally laughed, his jovial personality and green eyes lit up with love and passion. Artemis joined in, then turned to face the ginger haired man she had fallen for in under a year, but had stayed with for longer than that. She smiled brightly, then took Wally's more larger, yet more stable hands in hers, and began to play with his fingers softly. Staring at the glass picture on the wall, displaying the Christmas story, Artemis said, "I'm so happy and so blessed that you're home, Walls. If you had left me, I don't think I'd ever be who I am today. We wouldn't be here, in this large and gorgeous church, if we hadn't been drawn back together, after you lost your memory of the team and I. Nothing would be the same." Wally grinned, then replied, "If only Barry was here to see this wedding. He always said we had a knack of making a life for ourselves. I still just can't believe he's really gone. I'm not sure I'll ever get that memory out of my head, watching my own uncle die in front of me on a mission." "Barry did everything he could to help you, when you lost your memory, but it was his time. He was a hero, Walls, and he knew you'd be the perfect person to carry on the legacy as the fastest man alive. I think, Barry would be so proud to see how far you've come, with further training in silence and tactics that the entire Bat family uses. Don't be ashamed to wear the suit you created. Besides, that bright red is more your natural color, as it matches your hair quite well, and since you're no longer 'Kid Flash'. Yellow is more Bart's color; you're the new Flash. Be proud of that honor.", Artemis answered. "Thanks Artemis, but this wedding just won't be the same without the man that made meeting you possible.", the ginger said. Removing her hand from his, Artemis looked down at the beautiful, emerald studded, gold ring on her left ring finger. She turned the ring around her finger, then reached up, and gave Wally a long, passionate kiss on the lips. He seemed surprised by the action, then he said, "Wait for it, babe." Artemis playfully smacked her fiancé on the arm, and exclaimed, "When have you ever said to wait? You're a speedster, Walls. It's practically in your DNA to not like to wait!" Wally answered, "Artie, we're getting married as normal people, not as heroes. We chose to do a normal ceremony, because my other family will be coming to Keystone for the wedding, and they don't exactly know that I'm a speeding metahuman and am a hero on the same Justice League that continually is in orbit, saving the world." Artemis questioned, "Wait, you didn't tell your normal cousins or other uncles and aunts about the accident, your powers, and how you returned from the Speedforce? Wally...you went crazy telling M'gann that's who you were, when we all met. How and why didn't you tell your extended family about the whole thing?" Wally replied, "Hey, it really wasn't my call to make, whether they all knew or not. Barry told me it would be safer on their part and better on my part to not tell them, so I didn't. Besides, the other side of my family, is super protective over me. It's been that way, since I was born. Like, when my Great Aunt Lori found out I had been struck by lightning, she overreacted, and acted as if I had died!" The speedster shuttered, then continued, "I don't think there's any other woman that can squeeze as hard as she did, when my parents actually told her I was alive and well." Artemis laughed, then said, "She'll be an interesting person to meet then, if she can almost squeeze the life out of my man. When are you going to tell them about Barry's death and departure?" "Artemis, don't you understand? I can't tell them. No one can know what happened to my uncle on my first mission back, when I failed to get to him fast enough. No one can know that Barry put himself in harm's way, to save me. No one can know about our lives and jobs outside of civilian life.", the speedster stated. Suddenly, Wally's phone began to ring. With his speedster reflexes, the ginger whipped his phone out of his pocket, and slid it up to his ear, saying, "Dick, what is it? I'm already at the church with... Oh drat, I'll be there soon, okay? Stay calm and don't panic!" As Wally slid his phone back into his pocket, Artemis asked, "Let me guess...that's a mission call that requires your abilities?" The speedster answered, "I'm so sorry, Artemis, but Dick really needs me in Bludhaven for something. I promise I'll make all of this up to you later, at the wedding. I've really got to go! You look gorgeous, babe!" Artemis watched as Wally turned, exited the church, and began to run at top speed to the city, where his best friend lived, as the sparking blue lightning trailed behind him. The blonde sighed, "It's our wedding day, Dick! Wally and I are supposed to be getting married, and you call him for a mission?! Typical Bats family genes." Turning around to the doors of the church, Artemis silently exited the building, and went to the nearest Zeta-tube, which immediately transferred her back to the Watchtower, where she was greeted by Bart with his excited nature.
