"I know what happened in that Helmet partially changed your beliefs, Walls, but magic isn't always the answer. It's the memories of the dead that can change things and it is the answer. Barry will live on through you, and he will always be with you, even if he isn't on the earth anymore.", Artemis softly said, placing her hand on her husband's shoulder. Wally just brushed it off, and turned to face the blonde, his hands in hers, as he said, "But Artemis...don't you get it? I hurt Barry once, and that was when I was not in control of the Speedforce. I hurt him too, when he needed me the most. I guess what happened in the Speedforce changed me. I'm not just an innocent kid anymore. I have blood on my hands, and I was the reason my mentor died!" Deciding it was time to bring out the old Artemis, the one with the attitude, to get her husband to listen, the blonde forcefully pushed Wally down into one of the dusty chairs by the 'magic' table, bent down to his eye level, and replied firmly, "You're right about that, Idiot. I cannot believe you would intentionally harm the person who tried to help you. But then again, you've always been a stupid idiot, Fleet Feet!" Wally gaped his mouth open at the comment, and Artemis just laughed inside herself. The speedster said, absolutely astonished, "What was that for?! I thought you loved me!" Artemis smirked, then frowned and said, "Walls, man, I love you so much, but you got to let that go. You know what really happened wasn't anything you could stop. So as your wife, I am telling you, to put on your spandex pants, and deal with it. I'll be here for you. I always will. Even when I hate you for saying that everything is your fault, I will love you, no matter what. No running away from this, fastest man alive, ever! You got it?" Wally nodded, and Artemis held her hand out, and leaned in to kiss her husband. To her, everything was perfect. She wasn't dark and twisty anymore, like she used to be. Wally had been her hero and had made her stronger and better, just because she let him in. He was her everything. As Wally stood to slightly tower over Artemis, he whispered, "Let's go check on the Team. Did you send them back to the Watchtower?" The blonde nodded, then found herself on her husband's back, a smirk playing on his cheeks, as he asked, "Ready?" Giving a side kiss as an answer, Artemis held on for dear life, as Wally ran them back to the Hall of Justice. When they arrived at the famed Hall, Wally set Artemis down on the ground, and held her until she regained her balance. Soon regaining full use of the balance she had, both heroes walked inside, and headed for the hidden Zeta-tube. Not seeing anyone in the Hall, Artemis stayed close beside Wally, until they came to the back library room, where the hidden Zeta-tube was located. Once inside, the door locked, leaving them in perfect silence. Artemis waited, while her husband entered his key designation into the Computer. The Zeta-tube's recognition light flashed on, as it said, "Recognized Flash, 04." Before Wally was taken to the Watchtower, Artemis laughed, and said, "I'm still getting used to that! You know...you having no letter in your recognition code, unlike mine." Wally grinned, as he was Zeta'd off, leaving the blonde standing alone. She entered her designation, and the Zeta answered her request with a second flash of light, as it declared, "Recognized Artemis, B07." Upon being Zeta'd to the Watchtower, she found Wally already tending to Bart, helping to get the younger speedster's ankle elevated. Rushing over to the speedsters, Artemis asked, "What can I do to help?" Wally grimaced, and responded, not even turning his head, "Could you check on Gar and get M'gann, please? I know she's worried sick, and Gar's been complaining about his blood sister's whereabouts since before I got here." Artemis nodded, and rushed to the Med-Bay, but found the Martian already present in the room, clutching Beast Boy's furry hand. She asked, when she saw Artemis, "Oh Artemis! It's so good to see a familiar face! Tell me what happened with Gar, please." The blonde responded, pulling up a chair, "Well, M'gann, I'm really sorry this happened, especially to Gar, but he's broken his tibia. I need to reset it, then put it in a cast to heal right. He should be fine, except he won't be shapeshifting or going on missions anytime soon." Turning her attention to the young green boy on the cot, she said, "Gar, I hate to do this, but I need to reposition the bone in the right place, so it can heal. It's gonna hurt like heck, but if you would grab or hold onto M'gann's hand, it'll help with the pain, okay?" The young boy nodded, and continued to hold M'gann's arm, squeezing it deathly hard, as he screamed, "Gahhhh!!!!!", while Artemis moved the bone back into place. When the bone was in place, the blonde calmly said, "Good, just a few minutes later, then you'll be able to breathe normal again." Within a few seconds, just like she predicted, a blue cast was wrapped around the injured limb, and Gar was grinning up at his blood sister. Rising to her feet, Artemis told the Martian, "Could you keep him off the leg for a bit, M'gann? The cast needs to stay on for a good several weeks, and then he can get it removed. Otherwise, he should be good to go just chill and do whatever." M'gann nodded, then replied, "Thank you, Artemis." "No problem...that's what teammates do for each other.", the blonde said, smiling, as she left the room. As she walked back to the place she had last seen her husband, Artemis thought about telling Wally what had happened the night Cheshire had visited, and the attempt the famed assassin had made, telling her about their future, and how the world was to crumble. She hadn't really thought of the situation in a long time, being preoccupied with the mission, and taking care of Beast Boy's leg injury, but she knew a secret kept in the dark, wasn't always the best plan. She had learned that before...when she kept the news of her history from the team in the beginning. It hadn't ended well. Sighing, the blonde told herself the next time she had the opportunity to talk with Wally alone, she would tell him everything. Entering the room, Artemis walked over to where her husband was still tending to Bart, attempting to get him to sit still. She snagged a spot beside the redhead, and watched carefully, until she said, "When you're done, we have to talk." Wally asked, turning his head so his emerald eyes were staring at her grey ones, "About what?" Artemis just replied, "It's important."
