Turning around, Artemis walked back to the practice room, where the speedsters were still in a constant session of work. She stood patiently off to the side, until Wally noticed her and came over. Teasingly using the name he'd bestowed on her, during their first year on the team together, Wally asked, "So what did Nightwing say, Artie?" Artemis replied, "He told me that it'll be okay, and he wants to find Bart a new mentor for a while. Walls, he commanded that you and I go do something romantic together, as if being here and fighting side-by-side like we used to isn't romantic enough! He says the reason why, is because it's not every day that two League members get married." "Nightwing commanded it, huh? Well, I think I know a place we can go, that'll be close to the action if we're needed, yet out of the way, so if we aren't, we can try to be normal.", Wally suggested, coming around to the back of Artemis, putting his muscular arms over her shoulders lovingly, and crossing them down her chest. Artemis leaned back, and looked up into the Wally's emerald eyes, then turned around, and gave him a kiss. She smiled, then said, "Alright Baywatch. If you know the best place, I'll trust you." Wally gave a grin, and laughed, light white and blue lightning flashing in his eyes. Suddenly, there was a sickening crash, as well as a yelp of pain. Turning urgently, Wally saw Bart on the ground, his hand on his ankle, putting pressure on the massive, already turning purple and green bruise. He rushed over to the younger speedster, removed his cowl, and asked, "What happened, Bart? Talk to me." The younger boy winced, then said, "Tried to do a 360 Tornado Spin with phasing, like Barry once did, but I guess I'm not at his level yet." Bringing Bart to his feet, Wally said, "That move's for the professionals, Kid. It's dangerous, and now you know why your grandfather warned you about it, and told you he wasn't going to teach it to you. When he was here in this time period, that move hadn't even been perfected yet! It was in the beginning steps." Bart replied, "I know, Flash, but I want to be like Barry! You guys are so slow at teaching me this stuff, and if he were here, he'd teach me." Wally helped Bart to his feet, then said, "Kid, listen. That was the move that left him out of the game once, in the first place. He knew it was risky and he did it anyway. I made a promise to him, to keep you safe, and I'm going to honor that promise because one, you're my cousin, and second, because he asked, no, because he told me to." Bart whined, "But why are you so worried about me?" Wally frowned, and said, "Because I don't want you to kill yourself trying to do something that takes years to master, Kid. If your grandfather were here now, he'd say the same thing. The future would be damaged greatly, if something happened to you. Blue Beetle would be a vicious lunatic, and all of us metas would be in hiding, because of it." Bart pouted, "Still doesn't mean you have to be my father, cause you aren't even close. You're not even an Allen. Don't have the eyes, or the smarts for it." Seeing Wally frowning angrily at Bart for the rude comments, and the boy at him with a proud smirk on his face, Artemis said, jumping in, "Hey, so let's not have a World War Three, guys. Wally, why don't we go talk this out alone...in my dorm...without unwanted guests? Bart can stay here and I can radio for Nightwing to take him to somewhere else. He did say we needed some time alone, and now is as good a time as any to do so." The ginger turned to Artemis, and replied coldly, "I'll do it. Bart is my responsibility, Artemis. I promised Barry on his death, that I would do everything for his kid. I am his teacher now. We can be undisturbed, once I get Kid to a safe spot for that ankle." Artemis said, "I'll be in the room. Come find me when you're done, okay? And Wally, please try to not give into the anger again. I know it's hard, but you have to fight it. I don't want to have something happen to the man I married. I didn't like the angry Wally I saw two months ago." The speedster said, "I know, Artie. The anger, it just took over. It has free will now and I hate it, but I can't stop it." Smiling, Artemis came up to Wally, and gave him a kiss, then asked, laughing, "Will that help keep it under wraps, Wallman?" Wally grinned, and answered, "I hope so. Now, I'm going to get Kid situated, then I'll see you in your dorm." Artemis gave a nod, then headed for the dorms. Along the way, she closed her eyes, and dreamed of what had come through, to get them to this point of being a full loving couple, who was now banded by rings, a ceremony, and everything else. When she got to her dorm aboard the Watchtower, Artemis quickly went inside, and waited. She was alone for about fifteen minutes, until Wally came in slowly, flipped on the lamp light, and asked, "You in here, Artie?" Smiling, the blonde said, "Yes, Walls. I'm here. Come over here." Wally made his way to the bed, before taking a seat on it, and sliding beside Artemis. He apologized, saying, "Sorry that took longer than I expected. Apparently I have a stubborn sidekick, who hates listening to reason and direction." Artemis teased, "Hey, don't call them 'sidekicks'. We both know quite well how that ended up for us, and as for him being stubborn, I used to know someone who was the exact same. Stubborn and boneheaded." Wally replied, irritation somewhat obvious in his tone, "Pfft, still... He should listen to me. I have more years of training under my belt, literally, and I've worked alongside the Team before. Something has got to give, Artemis, and I fear that it may have to be my patience that takes a leave." Artemis hinted, "Then let's drop the subject and just relax. Walls, we're married now. We can do this now. Bart is just a protégée like we both were. We were just kids, young and inexperienced. We all needed the help and practice. Give him a mission or two with the Team, and he'll learn to cooperate. Until then, let's be a happily married couple, and do what they do." Wally grinned, and said, "Now that sounds like a good idea."

Found a way to get this chapter in, before work. And I felt it was necessary because I've spent very little time in this book, than what I have in my other current work. ( ;
