So after a several day hiatus, because of work and stuff, I'm back with this new chapter! I feel so bad for leaving you hanging, but hopefully the length of this one will leave you pleased and relieved. Also I slipped in a few beloved characters I want to see on the Team in S3 of Young Justice... ( ;

Later that day, after they had their little enjoyment in private with a locked door, both heroes awoke to a loud and repetitive buzzing from both their coms. Artemis grumbled, sitting up sleepily, "Why now? It was just getting to the good part." Wally attempted to stand up, but stumbled to the ground, his com bouncing from his fingers. He scooted over, his feet entangled in the bedsheets, and picked up his com, questioning with irritation as he put it to his ear, "What is it, Dick? Artie and I were in the middle of something, that really did not need to be interrupted." Artemis flipped on the light, then listened as the Team's leader said to her husband, "There was an alarm, for a robbery, that was triggered in Central City, at Gerald's Diamonds, and people are wondering what happened. I'm so sorry to ask this, Wally, but could you go check it out? It was Allen's city, so people need to know at least Flash is fine." Wally shut his eyes, then growled, "Must have been Mirror Master and Heat Wave again. I'll go take care of it." Turning his com off, before the leader could say more, Wally turned to Artemis, and gave her a kiss on the lips, then said, "I'm so sorry, Artie, but something came up that Nightwing needs me to check out." Artemis replied, "Oh, okay Walls... Do you want me to come with you? I have my bow and suit in my closet, and can change pretty quick." The ginger replied firmly, "No. You need to stay here, get some rest, wait for me. I'll be back soon. I love you, Artemis, and I love your eagerness to kick some Rogue butt, but this is a problem between me and my Rogues." Whizzing around, with blue lightning flying fast around him, Wally changed quickly into his suit, then buzzed out the door, and down through a Zeta-tube, leaving Artemis in the room alone again. Crawling out of the bedsheets, with one wrapped around her midsection,the blonde went to the closet, and pulled out her suit. She smirked, knowing that if she couldn't be with Wally at the moment, she could at least be in the training room, to work on the punching bag. Maybe she could even spar with Nightwing, if he was still aboard and not in Bludhaven. Slipping on her green suit quickly, Artemis went outside, and shut the door behind her, the keypad locking those without the passcode out. Heading to the training room, she slid on a pair of fingerless gloves, and began to beat at the heavy, bead filled bag that the younger kids couldn't even move. As she punched away, sweat began to drip down her cheeks and arms, increasing her body temperature, despite her being in a cool, air conditioned room. She grunted with each punch she made, until she heard footsteps behind her. Stopping with the punching, she said, "What are you doing here, Nightwing? How'd you get in? I thought you may have gone to Bludhaven." The Bird smirked, and replied, "I'm on duty, Artemis. Simple...I'm the leaver, thus I have the all access card. So not to be a pervert or anything, but were you and Wally doing it?" Artemis asked, "You mean having sex? We are married, Nightwing, so it's perfectly legal to do so." Nightwing chuckled, "I know, but in the Watchtower of all places?" Artemis growled, "I bet Green Arrow and Black Canary do it here. Why not Wally and I?" The raven haired hero gave a sigh, then said, tossing a pair of keys to her, "Lock up the practice room equipment when you're done, okay? I have to go check on something." After Nightwing left the room, Artemis rolled her eyes and resumed her punching. Finishing up half an hour later, the blonde put away the gloves, and left the room, locking it behind her. She headed for the kitchen, and pulled her newer, more natural length hair out of the ponytail, putting the band around her wrist. Seeing M'gann floating in the kitchen, Artemis entered, and asked, "Where is everyone today? All the leaders, I mean, except for Wally." M'gann shrugged her shoulders then replied, "I think they're getting some new recruits for the Team for next year's training regimen settled in on Earth, by formally initiating them onto the Team, and showing them to the world. Kaldur, Nightwing, and Conner all left earlier to go down for the ceremony, and so did Gar, La'gaan, Jaime, and a bunch of the girls as well. And wouldn't Wally be with the League, now that he's Flash?" Artemis answered, then asked, curiousness treading her like a train, "I don't know, M'gann, but Nightwing said he had a mission alert in Central. So why aren't you down there with them? You're still a huge member of the Team and wouldn't you want to be beside Conner?" The Martian shrugged her shoulders again, and replied, "I guess I just don't feel all that comfortable being down there alongside the heroes that I hurt. I just still can't shake what I did to Kaldur five months ago, from my brain. I hurt him, and didn't know he was deeply undercover. I don't deserve to be down there to meet the newbies to the Team, yet." Artemis drew closer, and put a comforting hand on the Martian, saying, "Hey, you didn't know the truth, M'gann. There was no way to prove that Kaldur was deeply undercover, with him wearing the armor and all the attitude of the son of a villain. You did what you thought was right at the time, and now look, he's fine. We're all fine and back together. We all came back together." M'gann replied, her auburn brown eyes glistening with the small sight of tears, "I just don't want to get out of control again. I mean, I hurt all those Kroloteans, and broke their minds, not even caring for what they were! I'm a murderer for harming them all." With every fiber of her being, Artemis wished she knew what to do, to calm M'gann. Deciding there really was only one person that could calm her down better than anyone else, Artemis went through a Zeta-tube, and ended up in the Hall of Justice, in perfect view of the ceremony in front of the rather old, yet beautiful structure. Looking out through the doors, she saw Wally rush up beside the League, and take his place beside Wonder Woman and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan). The rest of the Team, were standing behind the Justice League themselves, hoping to at least see the new recruits. Superman was busy discussing to the mass of people who the next young heroes were, while those in question were standing in a long line, off to the right of the Man of Steel. Gesturing to them, Artemis heard him say, "Despite what happened last year, with the invasion, and the League's supposed loss of a young hero on duty, as well as his return, but his mentor's death, we all, would like to introduce you to some of the new faces joining the Team, as we are calling them. The mentor we lost, will be replaced by his old protégée. The new heroes are as follows: Robin, Speedy, Kid Flash II, Supergirl, Static, and Arsenal." Upon Superman saying the final name on the roster, the crowd began to cheer and clap. From where she stood, Artemis got a good look at the new members. Robin was short, possibly 4.6', and had spiky black hair, with a new green, black, and red colored suit and mask to match, along with a deep scowl of irritation. She could recognize it, because it was much like the face she wore, when she met Wally several years before. Also, Artemis saw Bart standing, or rather limping, in his place, smiling proudly as he should, in the famous yellow and red suit. The new Speedy, was a young girl of medium height,with short, dark brown hair and eyes, and a firm line for a mouth. Her lips were a cherry red, and matched her red and black suit with a hood, proving she was probably wearing lipstick or gloss for the ceremony. She looked bored and irritated to be standing beside Bart. The next member, Supergirl, was standing smiling brightly, wearing the suit and cape happily. Her blonde hair waving in the wind as it blew, Artemis prayed the female Kriptonian wouldn't become together with Bart, as they were about the same age with him at thirteen and her barely at fourteen. Finally, the two oldest new teammates, Static and Arsenal, stood unfazed to the sounds of the crowd. As the clapping fell silent, and the crowd began to disperse, the blonde watched Nightwing take the older teammates, as well as the fresh newbies, into the Hall of Justice, where they passed her. She knew exactly where they were going. Even if the Cave no longer existed, thanks to having to play the part of Tigress, she knew it was time for the newbies to meet the others and also get their access to the Watchtower granted. All Artemis hoped, was that the newbies weren't going to cause trouble, or disobey orders, following in the footsteps of the original Team members.
