Hiccup's P.O.V

Oh my gosh! I layed on my bed and sighed happily. She was amazeing. I'm probably being kinda quick about this but I like her. She's pretty, funny, cute, secretive. I mean, her seccrets weren't in a book like most girls. You couldn't just flip a page and read them. They were in a steel vault, behind a bookcase, in a room down a hiden hall, locked with a combinattion I just had to figure out. Toothless lays his head on my legs with a dreaming sigh. I'm guessing he's thinking about Stormfly. It was cute how he's fallen for the aggressive she-dog so quickly. That's when her crying came to mind. She was trying so hard to keep my shirt as dry as possible. What made her cry so suddenly? Great, now I want to know her past. Well, maybe tomorrow.

Astrid's P.O.V.

I woke up on Sunday morning, dreading the day that is to come. Stormfly grabbed my blanket in her jaws and pulled it off me, making me pull my legs to my chest for warmth. She licks my face and I spit in disgust before falling onto the floor. I get up groggily before Stormfly brings me one of the dresses in my closet. It was light blue and went past my feet. "No, Stormfly. Thank you but I can't walk in that one," I say and take the dress from her before putting it back in my closet and grabbing a different one. This one was black and faded to white and it only reached a little bit past my knees. I slip it on and walk down stairs. "Mom, why do I have to wear a dress on Sundays?" I whine as I sit at the dinning room table, waiting for my usual Sunday egg-in-a-nest.

"Because you look pretty in them and it should be shared," she says as she places my plate in front of me.

I thank her before saying, "But I never leave the house on Sundays. When are they gonna see it?" She rolls her eyes before going back to the kitchen. I finish my egg-in-a-nest before letting Stormfly and Whisperwind fight over who gets to lick the plate. I go up stairs and make my bed before going into the bathroom to do my hair. I put it in a tight braid before slipping on my spiked head band. I go back down stairs and start helping my mom unpack the books for the living room shelves. Soon, I hear the door bell ring and go to answer it. I look through the window and see the boy from the park, causing my heart to stop. Stormfly lets out a soft bark and I show her a nervous smile.

"Mom!" I whispered-shout and slink back to the living room. "There's a boy at the door, and I was wondering if you could answer it so I don't have to socialize. Especially in this thing," I add under my breath as I move up the stair case. My mom opens the door and I hear Stormfly let out a storm of barks. (Excuse the horrible pun)

"Whoa, Stormfly! What're you doin' here?!" the boy's voice sounds and I freeze. Great, now he knows I live here.

Hiccup's P.O.V.

I was going through the neighborhood looking for the girl and her house. I knock on another one and wait for a while until a woman in her late 30's answers the door and Stormfly comes from no where, jumping up, putting her paws on my shoulders and licking my face. "Whoa, Stormfly! What're you doin' here?!" I ask happily as I knee her gently in the chest. She backs up and I rub her head before lifting my eyes to meet the woman's confused gaze.

"I'm sorry, who are you? And how exactly do you know my daughter's dog?" she asks.

"I'm sorry. I'm Hiccup Haddock, the mayors son," I say, holding my hand out. She shakes it with a smile. "I think I met your daughter in the park and I was just wondering if I could talk to her about something. Is that creepy?" I ask and she shakes her head.

"No, no. Not at all. I take it you two hit it off?" she asks. I tilt my head from side to side, unsure.

"I wouldn't exactly say 'hit it off', but I would really like to get to know her more," I say, hoping and praying that I didn't sound creepy.

"Oh, well, that's great! She hasn't really been herself lately so her father and I would be ecstatic if she got at least socializing again! I think she's up in her room. Please come in and make yourself at home while I go get her," she says as she steps aside to let me in. I walk by and go to their living room, wondering if they'd allow me to help them unpack sometime. I sit on the couch as the woman rushes upstairs.

Astrid's P.O.V.

I layed on my belly on my bed, my feet hanging over my back, as I typed on my laptop. I heard a knock on my closed bedroom door and called weakly, "Who is it?" as if I was sick.

"Astrid, it's me," my mom's voice says. I stand up and open the door a crack.

"What?" I whisper, scared that she invited the boy inside.

"There is a very handsome young man here to see you. Said he met you at the park and wanted to get to know you," she says, following my lead to stay quiet. Called it!

"Tell him I'm not here!" I whispered-shout.

"I already told him you were," she says.

"Tell him I'm sick then!" I tell her.

"With what?" she says.

"I don't know! Make something up! Tell him I have a disease where acid from my stomach comes up my throat and pours out my mouth along with any undigested food and it happens multiple times in a day. Whatever you call that," I tell her.

"Stomach flu?" she asks.

"Whatever! Just get him out of here!" I hiss. She rolls her eyes with a sigh before going down stairs. I creep to the top of the stairs and hide behind the wall to listen to their conversation.

"I'm sorry, Hiccup was it? I'm afraid she's come down with a sudden case of the stomach flu. She won't be able to talk today, maybe some other time?" my moms voice says.

"Oh, well that's too bad. Actually, my mother had a sure-fire cure for stomach flu, passed down in her family, before she disappeared. My father taught it to me and I'm sure he wouldn't mind at all if I gave it to you to help her get better," the boy's voice says. Please say no, please say no, Please say no. I pray.

"Oh, you know what, it's actually almost out of her system, doctor said it should last only about one more day," my mom says.

"Oh, that's great! What school is she going to?" he asks. Why won't you just go away?!

"I'm not sure, that's more her father's department," mom says and I breath a sigh of relief.

"Oh, okay. I'm sure I'll see her again in the park, if we're on a walk at the same time. It was really nice meeting you and please tell your daughter I said hi and get well soon," he says and I hear the door open.

"Oh sure I will, and it was nice meeting you too," mom says.

"Bye, Stormfly! I'll tell Toothless you said hi!" he says and Stormfly barks agreement. The door closes and I slump against the wall before running to my room and peeking out the window. I see the boy walking down the street, looking pretty happy. I was not looking forward to tomorrow.
