In the Aftermath

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around at the unfamiliar surrounds. I sat up and stretched, yawning all the events of last night came rushing back.

I laid back down on the bed in Shawn's guest room. I just laid there, not wanting to deal with anything right now.

"Good morning sleeping beauty, how are you feeling?" Shawn came in carrying a platter filled with breakfast items.

"I'm I'm fine Shawn" I can't believe he did this. He is too nice.

He set the tray in my lap and sat next to me in the bed.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Shawn asked hesitantly almost like he was afraid that I would break.

"Not yet, I'm sorry Shawn. It's just too much right now but thank you so mush for letting me stay here. I don't deserve you" I said as I started to eat the breakfast he made.

"You would do the same for me Camy" Shawn replied as I chuckled at his nickname for me ever since we became best friends 7 years ago.

After I finished eating I checked my phone. 12 texts from Nash, 7 calls, all from him.

I started sobbing and Shawn looked at me and took my phone away. He laid me down and started singing my favorite song, Give me love.

I snugged into his chest and slowly slipped back into unconscious.

---- 2 weeks later------------

I woke up after another dreamless sleep and headed down stairs.
I'm still living with Shawn currently and I have not talked to Nash since my birthday.

I walked into the kitchen looking for Shawn, it's already 5 in the evening but I just can't seem to fall asleep at night. then I heard music coming from Shawn's room. I smiled as I headed towards his room.

I opened the door and saw Shawn strumming his guitar and humming some song withhold headphones on. He is so focused on what he is doing he doesn't realize that I'm standing there

I walk over and sit next to him. He looks up, a little startled. Then he smiles and goes back to playing.

After listening to a few songs I call his name "shawn. Shawn.... SHAWN" he still doesn't hear me so I reach down and move my hand up his thigh.

He looks at me confused and takes off his headphones.

"Um, what are you doing Camy?" He says his breath a little uneven.

"Trying to get your attention since you can't hear me" I say pulling my hand back and laying back on the floor.

"Okay, so do you want to go out and eat something?" Shawn asks, setting his guitar on the stand.

"Can't we just do delivery again?" I said
Trying I convince him.

"We have ordered in the past two weeks, let's go out" Shawn said persistently

"But what if we run into him?" I said in a softer voice

"We won't, this city is too big. And you know you have to talk to him eventually right?" He said. I had told him what happened that night and he thinks I should let Nash explain.

"I will soon, I'm just now ready yet. And fine let's go out to eat" I said giving up.

"Yay! We can go to our favorite restaurant" Shawn said excitedly

"Deal, let's go" I said has we walked towards Shawn's car.

"We are going to have fun tonight whether you like it or not Camy"
