Love me again

"Shawn, I'm sorry. I never wanted to hurt you and I just want my best friend back" I said and Shawn sat there for a minute not saying anything just looking at me. it was kind of unnerving.

"Did you ever actually love me?" he said leaning up in the booth at the dated diner we were at.

"I have always loved you shawn. I-"

"No, you know what I mean Cameron. don't play games, were you ever in love with me?" Shawn said his voice rising but then he quickly lowered it.

Was I ever in love with him? I mean this was my best friend but I'm not sure if I actually was in love with him. I just know that he was always there for me and he was the one who comforted me for most of my life and I could never repay him for that.

he was the innocent boy who always help me and I knew then if I need someone to talk to he was the one who would listen the matter how he was doing. I honestly don't know, but I can't tell him that. he needs and deserves an answer.

"I think I loved that you were in love with me" I said honestly

"Well how lucky for you. you had me as a little bitch slave until you could get Nash back" Shawn said his cheeks flushing red and nostrils flaring.

"Shawn it wasn't like that. please, I'm sorry" I said tearing up.

"It's funny actually. I'm not mad at you. I want so bad to be mad at you and hate you but I can't. even after everything I still care for you. I forgive you cameron" Shawn said tears welling in his eyes.

"Wait you forgive me?"

"I forgive you best friend, but I just need time." Shawn said paying his bill for his untouched food and he started to get up.

As he walked away I called out to him
"Shawn, are we going to be okay?"

"I really hope so"

NASHS POV

I'm really freaking out now. I haven't been able to find Cam and he won't pick up his phone. god, I wish he would at least text me saying he was okay.

I mean I no I shouldn't have called him Camy but I mean I'm just trying to help and I just slipped up but I just want him to be happy again.

ever since him and Shawn had their fallout is been nothing like before. he's always had a little bit of a distant looking to sign he's happy he's not completely happy.

I passed a little diner and saw Shawn and Cam talking at a booth. I ducked down and watched, deciding if I should go in or not.

Before I could decide Shawn got up and walked out and left. I took that as my que to go in. as I approached the booth Cam looked up slowly.

"You found me" his eyes were red from crying.

"I always do, you okay?" I asked sitting next to him and grabbing his hand. He solemnly nods and keeps his head down.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked trying to get something from him. and he just shakes his head.

"Then let me take you home"
