All Too Well

As I head to work, the modeling agency, i am so excited. Shawn and I are going on our first date tonight.

I have it all planned out. first we are going to a nice dinner, then we are going to a Band of Horses concert. They are one of our favorite bands and I managed to score tickets last minute.

I pulled into work and got out. Apparently I have a really big six-week project starting today. I'm so excited, it's going to be a big step in my career.

"Hello Cameron, your manager is waiting for you in her office" Stephanie said, she is the front desk lady who ha. Blue to green ombré with her hair ginger at the root. Sounds crazy I know but it grows on you.

I thank her and head to my managers office.

"Hey Mckayle" I said, walking into her office and sitting in the chair

"Hello Cameron, are you excited for the new project with Calvin Klein?"

Calvin Klein, this is big. I can't believe I'm getting this opportunity. Nash used to do some guest photographer work with them.

Ugh! I'm not gonna let thoughts of Nash mess up my day. He is my old life and this job and Shawn are my new life.

"Cameron, hello?"

"Um, yes I'm super excited" I responded, breaking my silence.

"Ok, so you will meet with the photographer today at 4 at the chipotle on buffalo road"

" Okay great, thanks Mckayle" I said getting up and leaving the office.

I wonder who the photographer will be? Hopefully someone big, I really want to get my foot in the door of this business.

It's 1 so I have three hours til I need to be there and Shawn is working today so I guess I will go get a new outfit for tonight.

I finally found a outfit for tonight and I look at my phone. It's 3:30 so I go ahead and head to the chipotle after shooting Shawn a quick text.

I get there about 10 minutes early and go get my food.

It's 4:10 and I'm really nervous. What if he doesn't like me.

"Sorry I'm late I got cau-" said a familiar voice that brought me out of my thoughts.

I look up and see Nash. Fate is so cruel sometimes. He stands there, awkwardly looking anywhere but at me.

"Why are you here Nash?" I said knowing the answer but needing affirmation.

"I'm supposed to meet the new Calvin Klein model and I'm guessing you're him" Nash said sitting in the chair across from me.

I'm really uncomfortable and I want to run away. But I can't, this is my opportunity to make something of myself.

"I am, but first ground rules. I am just doing this for work, no playing around. I don't want you to do anything but take the pictures" I said

"Sir yes sir" Nash said doing a salut

I gave him a look. God this was gonna be a long six-weeks

"Okay, I'm sorry. All work, no play" he said solemnly.

"Good, now I'm leaving. Bye Nash" I said getting up and heading towards the door.

"Cam wait, I think this might be a good thing" Nash said.

I turned around and stared at him, I saw the boy that I feel in love with. The one who I loved for 3 years of my life.

"Maybe so Nash"
