With Every Action

"Thank you for meeting me Cameron" my mom said

It's been years since I saw her. We had a great relationship until I came out to her. She wasn't hateful but she told me that I needed help and se was going to get me someone who could.

"Why wouldn't i wanna see the mother that never accepted me?" I said sarcastically

"Are you going to hate me forever, I'm sorry that I didn't then, but now I want us to mend our relationship." He said softly

I couldn't take it anymore, the tears starting flowing. This is too much.

"How could you" I said keeping to keep my voice down

"I'm here to make our relationship better, I know i did some things that weren't right and I'm sorry"

She didn't want to talk about what she did. She doesn't want to fully own up.

"Say it" I said

"Say what?" She said not making eye contact.

"For once in your life, admit what you did!"

She sat there silently, looking down at her hands. I think she was crying at little.

"You sent me to a camp to get 'better' and it made my life hell! I was beaten and bullied. They wouldn't let me contact anyone. One of the councilors raped me! And when you came to visit, I told you and you did nothing!"
I said balling my eyes out

"I'm so sorry Cam" she said

"No, you can't call me Cam anymore. I was your child and you didn't protect me"

"Cameron, please forgive me. I want to fix it"

"I don't know if I can" I said getting up and running to my car.

I headed home and saw that Shawn wasn't home yet. I walked in and headed to the kitchen. I made him dinner and left a note for him. I went to our bedroom an laid down.

After a few hours, Shawn still wasn't home. I needed someone to talk to and help me get through this.

So I probably did the worst thing possible. I picked up my phone and went to my contacts and called Nash.

"Hello" Nash said tiredly, it was like 2 in the morning.

"Nash" I said before breaking down crying on the phone.
