Betty strode into the homeroom with full confidence, she was pulling Veronica along with her and although the brunette was proud of her girlfriend for not giving a shit about Chuck's opinions, she was still wary of the boy. Her brown eyes fell on him almost immediately - he was sat with a couple of other football players - their gaze falling upon the group as they filed into the room. Kevin eyes trained on the floor, his nerves rising as he avoided everyone's lingering eyes. Instead of Betty sitting in her usual seat on the sofa, Veronica pulled Betty down onto her lap, the blonde letting out a slight giggle at the action, happily settling herself on Veronica.

Veronica was sure Betty hadn't even glanced at Chuck once, but she could feel Chuck's glare on the pair. Veronica gathered that her threat had worked because the moment she met his glare his eyes snapped away and he went back to his conversation even though his friends were prying on wanting to know the details between the feud between Betty's group.

Kevin sat himself on the single sofa, Archie and Jughead sat across from Betty and Veronica and the tension in the air was unmissable; Betty was looking at him now, the same fury in her eyes as the last time she saw him. But her mind was pulled from the boy when she felt a hand on her knee and her baby blue eyes locked with Veronica's, a smile curving on her lips.

"Looks like he took your threat." Betty noted, leaning forward to rest her head on Veronica's shoulder thankful for the brunette. "And thank you for giving him that black eye, Archie. It's hard to miss."

Archie's posture straightened as he gave her a proud nod, his split lip was hardly noticeable but you'd be able to spot Chuck's black eye from outside the homeroom. Kevin had seemed to settle down now, gladly joining them in ignoring Chuck's presence just as he ignored theirs, the less drama the better.

Jughead got up from his seat, heading over to the vending machine - he'd had a large breakfast at Archie's but he was still feeling a little peckish. Betty took a sip of her latte, it had cooled since they came into the school; they used to ban people bringing in beverages from places outside of the school but due to everyone simply ignoring that rule, they soon just stopped telling them not to do it.

"So my fellow friends, I was thinking about the dance coming up." Veronica spoke up, her arm resting around Betty's waist, keeping the blonde close. "Who's going with who?"

"I uh, I'm actually going to ask Josie later." Archie announced, it came as a shock to most of them.

"Whoa, when did you have the time to make that happen?" Veronica grinned, raising her eyebrows at the ginger haired boy; a blush rushed along Archie's cheeks as the man let out a chuckle.

"You're too lost in Betty's eyes to notice any of the other drama around her, Ronnie."

Veronica didn't argue, she knew it was true but she couldn't help being head over heels for the blonde. Betty smirked in amusement at the two, slipping her hand in Veronica's.

"Well, I'm happy for you, Arch."

"I think I'm just going to go as a loner. You know, seem as there's no cute guys in this school." Kevin spoke up, seemingly annoyed at the lack of gay men in the high school. Kevin was the only out student in the school - apart from Betty and Veronica of course, he'd like to say it was because he was the only one with balls.

"Hey, you're welcome to come along with us."

Kevin choked back a laugh, "And be a third wheel? I'd rather just go with Jughead."

Jughead had remained silent since then, he'd never been the relationship type, so going to some sappy dance definitely wasn't on his list of priorities at the moment.

"Yeah, no...I don't think so, Kevin. I'll stick to my laptop and a good ole Pop's burger."

"Well we're going there afterwards, so I guess we'll see you there." Veronica told him, giving the boy a smile.

The sound of heels clicking along the glossy floor could be heard, grasping the fives attention already knowing who it was. There were few people who wore high heels and one of them being Cheryl Blossom.

"I suggest you hold your horses on that one, I'm having an after party at Thorn Hill and luckily for you all, you're invited." Cheryl declared, walking along for once her terrified little minions not strolling beside her. Veronica guessed that their day had already been planned out for them.

When Cheryl Blossom invites you to a party; you attend that party.
