I didnt want to go to school.
School mean Normani.
And Siope.
I hated the fact that I had kissed him back.
And enjoyed it.
In all honesty I had missed him. He was always there for me when I struggled. He always had been until the day he dropped off the face of the Earth. But now hes back and I dont like the fact that I am so easily roped in by him.
Since I couldnt skip school I stood in the hallway at my locker. My heart pounding in my ears. I dont want either of them tos how up.
But there she is.
With the most perfect hair falling off her shoulders. Her dark skin flawless. Her eyes were so open and beautiful. My heart seemed to speed up by 300%. Normani had a huge smile on her face. She came over and planted a sweet kiss on me. I felt my heart flutter. I loved her taste, rich like honey. Addicting.
"Hi." She says happily.
"Hey."
She frowns. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah why?"
"Your kissing differently..." She says.
I swallow. "Really?"
Normanis smile falls. "Dinah dont lie to me."
I sigh. "Siope kissed me."
"Siope?"
"My ex boyfriend." I explain.
"Oh." She says. Her gaze dropping to the floor.
"Hey its nothing." I say tilting her chin up.
She yanks away. "Just... I need some time..."
"Okay." I say. Tears threaten my eyes. God I fuck up everything.
She gives me a fake smile. "See you at lunch?"
"Id hope so." I say giving her a sad smile.
She turns and walks away, saddness obvious in her step. I sigh and turn back to my locker to find Siope. I glare at him, slam my locker, and begin walking to class.
He runs to catch up, grabbing my wrist when she does. "Hey-"
"Dont hey me." I snap, facing him and yanking my wrist back.
"You could have lied to her-"
"Thats not what a good girlfriend does!"
He frowns. "Im sorry. Please-"
"No." I say firmly. "Just stop. You already ruined my relashoship Im betting." I say angeredly.
"Dinah, common, just admit we are perfect together."
I push away from him. "Fuck you."
He grins and walks next to me. "I'll walk you-"
"Imperfectly capable." I say and barge into the room.
*Lunch*
I wait for Normani at lunch. Praying to god she will still come. I see Siope smirking at me. Making flirty eyes. I roll mine at him and see Normani sit down across from me. Lauren sits down next to me and Im betting she can feel the tension.
"Okay whats up? I can tell you guys arent kissing or hugging."
"Siope." I say bluntly.
Lauren raises an eyebrow.
"Hes a fucking jerk."
Normani stays silent. Playing with her food.
"Normani." A sweet voice. Ally.
Lauren gulps but Ally doesnt even seem to notice me or her.
Normani looks up.
"Why so sad Sugar?" Ally asks sweetly. "I heard Dinah has been a bitch lately. You know I could offer you so much more."
"Ally..." I say, my tone giving her a warning.
She doesnt even acknowledge me. Normani says nothing still wich infuriates me. I know that I kissed Siope, well he kissed me first, but she wont stand up for me!? At least I was honest!
"If you ever need someone, I'll be there." Ally finishes with a wink.
When she leaves I stand up. "What the fuck was that Normani?"
I dont give her time to answer though. I storm off and out the school doors. Needing some air to think. I hear the doors open and hope to see Normani. But its not her. Its Siope. He sits down beside me, taking my hand in his. Oddly helping.
"Now will you deny that we are meant to be?"
I look at him. And my mind has been made up.
"No." I say softly. "I wont." And I seal the space between us, melting into him.
