A/N Soooo I'm deciding that what I'm going to start doing is not update as much on the weekends but write as many chapters as I can. I'm already incredibly busy with school, so it's just hard to then - but now I can save the chapters and depending how many I wrote, I can post them each. It's Sunday morning and I've written like eight already, so you'll get a chapter every weekday😝I'm only posting this one because I wanted to post this note. So normally (and hopefully) you won't get any chapters on the weekend, but you will during the week!
"You want Harry and I to what?!"
"Come on, Cassie, you and Harry are the most powerful in our year," Hermione persuaded. "We need a real teacher. You got so upset that you got a detention when you heard we wouldn't be learning with wands!"
"I know, I know," I groaned, burying my face in my hands. "But me, a teacher? I love the idea, Hermione, I really do, but I'm not going to lead it."
"What if Harry likes the idea?" Ron asked. "He'll want you to teach with him."
"But I won't!" I exclaimed, standing up. "I'm not that kind of person...I'm not a leader. I want to do this, but I want to just be learning with the rest of you."
"What's wrong?" Harry asked, having walked up behind my and wrapped his arms around my waist. My anger from before melted away, and I smiled, leaning my head back to look at him.
"Come on, look at that! She'll just agree if Harry wants her to do it!" Ron muttered. I sent a glare his way, pulling Harry onto the couch.
"What do I want her to do?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow as he slung an arm around my shoulder. I snuggled closer to him, hoping he wouldn't make me teach. I didn't feel comfortable with it...why didn't they see that?
"We want to start a DADA class where we actually learn," Hermione explained. "Ron and I thought that you and Cassie would be the best to teach it."
"And Cassie doesn't want to," Ron sighed.
"Well, I see why. You two are just as good to teach as us, and she doesn't want to," Harry said simply. I smirked a little at them as their smiles fell.
"Harry! You've faced You-Know-Who, and Cassie, you've always had the best grades in that class!" Hermione argued.
"Even better than Hermione!" Ron added. "Just imagine what you two could do together!"
Harry and I glanced at each other.
"I'll do it if you want to," Harry said, shrugging.
"But do you want to?"
"It depends."
"Just do it!" Ron groaned.
I bit my lip. "I mean, I guess it would be kind of cool."
"It would. We'd be teaching partners," Harry chuckled, kissing the top of my head. When I looked back to Hermione and Ron, Hermione had a huge smile on her face, but I couldn't tell if it was because we're going to agree or because Harry kissed me.
"We'll do it," I sighed, smiling. Hermione and Ron let out cheers of excitement, Harry and I laughing at them. I rested my head on his shoulder, staring into the fire.
"This is a good idea, right?" I asked quietly. "You don't think we'll get caught?"
"Well, I believe we have a good place to go already, so..." he looked down at me, grinning. "Don't worry. I'm sure Hermione will think of good ways to hide this."
"Right, the Room of Requirement," I said, mentally face-palming. "It's perfect! I can't believe I didn't think of that."
Hermione went around inviting as many people as she could find to talk to about this. There was a Hogsmeade trip that we planned to hold a meeting during, at the Hog's Head, a place that was very often empty.
