My parents had been at the Manor for months, now. I wasn't sure why the parchment hadn't shown their location for so long, not until almost a week of living in the cell with my parents and Luna, Ollivander, and Griphook; Luna had, however, proved to be an incredibly good friend to me during this time.
It was my sixth day in the cell when a commotion could be heard from upstairs. I thought that I heard Harry's name, and immediately ran to the door, trying to see up the stairs. My parents got up and stood next to me, trying to hear as well.
"It is Potter, isn't it?" someone asked, making a small gasp escape my throat.
"Well, this is Granger and Weasley, who else would it be?" Bellatrix sneered.
"Get the Winters girl. She'll know."
"No. She caused far too much trouble last time," someone else groaned. "She's too scared that we'll hurt her stupid child."
There was silence for a moment. I was holding my breath, knowing that if Harry was up there, his reaction to this news would determine whether they kept him or not. I closed my eyes, laying my forehead against the bars.
"Is this new to you?" Bellatrix chuckled, her voice all of a sudden filled with a mischievous tone. I grimaced. They had caught him.
"That's him," another death eater said. "Look at his expression."
"Did you not know that, Potter? Did you not know that Cassandra is pregnant?" Bellatrix laughed.
"It's not true."
My breath caught in my throat when I heard his voice.
"Well, why don't you see for yourself, Potter," she giggled, and footsteps came towards the staircase. I immediately backed up, tears stinging my eyes.
Bellatrix finally appeared in the doorway, smirking at me. She unlocked and opened the door, stepping aside to let three people in; Hermione, Ron, and...
Harry.
The entire world seemed to stop as our eyes met for the first time in almost six months.
"Cassie?" he whispered, his own eyes glistening with tears as the first tear of my own slipped down my cheek.
"Harry," I murmured, seeing Bellatrix walk back upstairs. Slowly, he approached me. I was unable to read his expression as he reached his hand up to my face, brushing hair back from my eyes.
Silence had filled the cell. He slammed his lips into mine.
I somehow completely forgot about my parents as I kissed Harry. I forgot about the baby. I forgot about everything. I was left breathless when he pulled away, letting out a small gasp.
"You're pregnant," he whispered, his voice breaking as he glanced down at my stomach. "We...we made a...baby..."
"Yeah," I laughed softly, wiping my face. "We did."
"Do you know...do you know the gender?" he asked, backing up slightly and placing a hand on the bump.
"No," I said, smiling and putting my hand over his. "I haven't-"
A sudden weird feeling inside me made me flinch, Harry jerking his hand away.
"What was that?!" he exclaimed, and I grinned.
"The baby kicked," I laughed, surprised but happy, looking up at him. "It's happy to meet its father."
He stared into my eyes, a huge smile on his face. "I love you so much. I'm glad you're okay."
"I love you too."
"Can we have her now?" Ron whined, and Harry and I burst out laughing. I walked over to Hermione and Ron, hugging both of them.
"I can't believe this," Hermione chuckled, gesturing to my stomach.
"I couldn't either," I told them all. "I was terrified at first...but now I'm happier than ever about it."
"Done with your reunion yet?" Bellatrix groaned from upstairs. I narrowed my eyes a little.
"What, are you upset that you don't have a family half as close as this one?!" I snapped up at her while walking to the bars. I could see her standing at the top of the stairs, a smirk plastered over her face.
"I wouldn't be blabbing so much, Winters," she cackled, beginning to walk slowly down the steps. "You have more to risk when you talk back like that."
I wrapped my arms around the baby, glaring at her until Harry pulled me away.
"What do you want?" he hissed.
"I want the mudblood," she stated, reaching the door and opening it. "We found something in her bag that shouldn't be in her possession. Bring the goblin, too."
She walked in, grabbing Hermione's arm and gesturing for Griphook to come with her.
"Hey, let go of her!" I snapped, about to storm at her when Harry grabbed my hand, pulling me back.
"Be quiet. I don't want her to hurt you," he murmured in my ear. "Think of the baby."
I immediately calmed down again. If my stupid hormones managed to get me into trouble, I don't know what could happen to the child.
"What, Potter. Scared that you're gonna lose her again?" Bellatrix chuckled.
"Shut up," he growled.
"I wouldn't talk like that, Potter. You might startle me," she sighed, pulling out a knife from her dress. "This night just slip from my hand, onto your girlfr-"
"Don't you dare threaten my daughter," Dad warned, only making Bellatrix laugh as she pulled Hermione up the stairs. Griphook simply followed, not taking a glance at any of us.
Hermione suddenly let out a cry as they disappeared from view. Ron immediately ran up to the bars, trying to see her.
"Don't hurt her!" he yelled, kicking the metal. "Don't hurt her!"
Only moments later, she began to scream. I let out a small gasp, letting Harry pull me closer to him, his arm around my shoulders. Ron began to yell even more, telling them to stop.
A small popping sound, however, brought my attention behind me, where a small house elf stood.
"Harry," I said softly, and he turned around as well.
"Dobby!" he gasped, bringing everyone's attention to the elf. "How did you get here?"
"Magical restrictions don't apply to house elves, sir," he said, a big smile on his face.
"So...can you apparate people out of here?" Harry asked him.
"Yes, Harry Potter, sir." He nodded, his huge eyes staring up at him with admiration. "I can get you out."
"Take everyone but Ron and I," Harry ordered. I frowned.
"Harry, I'm not leaving you," I said with a small laugh of disbelief. How could he think I would go?
"Yes, you are," he snapped. "You're pregnant with our kid, Cassie. I'm not letting anything happen to either of you."
I felt Dobby's hand take mine, and everyone else crowded around him to join. I tried to pry my hand from the elf, but Mum stopped me by grabbing my wrist.
"Where to, sir?" Dobby asked.
"Shell Cottage," Ron cut in. "It's where Bill and Fleur are."
"Come back to get us," Harry said, going up to the bars.
We apparated.
