Chapter 35

 I aimed for his head, then fired over 6 times and nothing.

"Hey Cody-ya think you can get up now!?", I said as I started backing up.

Bryles still kept comin, so I fired a few more times, then the gun clicked every time I pulled the trigger.

"Shit", I hissed, then went to climb up this ladder that led to a platform, but Bryles grabbed my legs and ripped me down onto the floor so I fell on my back

"Son of a bitch", I growled as I rolled over onto my side, but then Bryles bent down, grabbed me by my throat and pinned me to the wall.

"Cody!!", I choked out trying to get his hand off my neck but it did'n help.

I was literally dangling in mid air only being held up by my throat.

Next thing I knew, Cody ran into Bryles with a forklift and the rods on it pierced him, so he let me go and I dropped to the floor on my ankle.

"FUCK!!", I gritted and held it, then looked around before spotting a chain, so I got up and grabbed it, wrapped it around Bryles's neck, chained one part to the forklift and the other to the ladder."GO!! GO!! GO!!"

Cody put the forklift in reverse, then punched the gas so he flew backwards, still punching the gas as Bryles's head slowly started to get ripped off.

Sparks where shooting everywhere as it started to come off, then it did and fell to the floor in front of me so I scooted all the way back to the wall and watched it roll a couple feet away and stop.

Cody sighed then leaned back in the chair lookin over at me, and we shook our heads at each other before I leaned mine against the wall behind me.

He got down then came over to me, hauling me up to my feet and I hissed at the pain in my shoulder which was leaking more and more blood by the second.

"You ok?",he said.

"Yeah, it's my shoulder", I shook my head then looked up at him, and he put his forehead to mine.

"It's over...it's all over", he scoffed.

"Lets go",I whispered back.

He grabbed my hand then laced our fingers together as we walked out of the basement passed Hector.

"Thanks man", I mumbled down to him as I passed him.

We walked down the hall then up the stairs into the main hall where Cody drove the bus throw a little while ago, then jumped through the windows again.

This place.

Was trashed.

Done for.

But at least it's fuckin over.

"CODY!! JESS!!", someone screamed as they jumped out the window too, and I turned to see Dawn hauling ass towards us.

"Did you see-did you see Kurt anywhere in there?! I can't find him!!", she started crying as she clung to me and I gave her a sad look.

"Dawn listen-"

"No!", she started crying.

"Yes", I nodded.

"Please no", she shook her head.

"I saw it happen Dawn, I'm so sorry", I shook my head.

"NO!! OH GOD NO!!", she broke down and started sobbing as she fell to the floor covering her face.

"I'm so sorry", I said pulling her into a hug and she clung to me.

"I LOVED HIM!!", she sobbed.

"I know", I whispered back and he sniffled.

"We gotta get back to the hangout guys", Cody said helping the both of us up and she nodded wiping her face.

"If I could'nt done something, I would've Dawn I really would've", I shook my head.

"It's ok", she smiled sadly and I nodded, then hooked my arm around her as we walked down the sidewalk, but my stomach then stung in pain worse than before and I stopped.

"Jess?", Cody said worried, but before I could respond-my entire body fell limp, my eyes rolled back in my head, and I fell back onto the ground.

"JESSICA!!!", Cody yelled then hovered over me shaking me."JESS?! JESS!! COME ON MAN STAY WITH ME!!"

I tried as hard as I could to stay awake but I could'nt hang on anymore and blackness over took me.
