Chapter 10

The bell rang, and we all filed out of there, into the hall.
Bad timing.
In the hall, two security guards were carrying a cot with someone laying on it with a sheet over them.
And that someone was Sonny.
I knew for a fact because I could see the purple scarf he wore around his head bing dragging on the ground below him, then it became all too real for me as tears started forming in my eyes once more, but this time they fell.
I looked at Cody, and he just watched it go by, like he wasn't believing this.
Him and Cody were'nt exactly close, but they were still brothers, and I knew Cody was hurting bad on the inside.
He's like that, he does'nt almost ever show emotion.

"NO!!Move you asshole!!THAT'S MY BROTHER!!SONNY!!SONNY NO!!!NO!!",I heard someone scream/cry as they pushed through the cloud of people and my heart literally broke and dropped as Angel pushed his way through everyone, trying to follow the security guards who took Sonny out of her only moments ago.
"Angel!!", I choked back a sob, but he kept trying to go after him."Angel-ANGEL!!"
Finally I grabbed him and pulled him back to me, and he collapsed in my arms crying.
"SONNY NO!!",he screamed and by now, everyone was looking at us, but I could give two shits less.
"Im so sorry baby, I'm so sorry", I cried along with him as I rocked him.
"NO!!",he dragged out.

I held him like that, in the middle of the floor, as everyone walked around and stared and whispering, then after a few minutes, he slowly let go of me, got up, wiped his eyes, but he was still crying and sniffled.
I did the same thing, then took one of his hands squeezing it a little and offered him a sad smile as I wiped my face too.
"I'm so sorry baby", I whispered, then I grabbed my car keys he had dropped on the floor, and handed them to him."Here, why don't you go out to the car and wait for us o-ok?Cody and I gotta go talk to some people and we'll be right out."
"Al-alright", he stuttered, then he turned around and walked out of the school.
I sighed best I could without it being shaky, then I stood up and turned to Cody, to see he was already looking at me, so I sniffed and breathed out.
"What?",I said and he shook his head.
"Your good with him...your always good in situations like this", he said."I don't understand how, but you are, but what were you saying?We were gunna go talk to someone?"


"Yea, come on", I said as I grabbed my bag off the floor, then speed walked through the crowd of people, with Cody running after me.
This is how I am.
When I'm sad about something, I cry about it for a few minutes, but then I pissed off.
And I was pissed the fuck off.
Sonny was, and always will be a part of my family, and a part of the Blackheart family, and I want fuckin answers, bitch.
"Jess!Jess wait up!!",Cody called as he ran up to me as we got into the office parts of the school.
I slowed down a little bit once I saw Mr. Bryles, Ms.Connors, and Mr. Hardin walk out, and I glared through all three of their souls.
If you can't tell already, I'm pissed as fuck.

I looked at Cody who turned and looked at me, and then we raised an eyebrow at each other.
I walked in, and the receptionist bitch looked up.
"Hi, do you have an-"
"Fuck you", I cut her off and walked in, and Cody followed in suit as I walked into the office where Mr. Langford was.
"Ahh Mrs. Slade what can I do for you?", he said.
I looked over at Cody who was leaning against the door, then turned back to Mr. Langford.
"I'm here because Cody and I have reasons to believe that Mr. Hardin might have something to do with Sonny's death", I said and he scoffed at Cody.

"Does he?", he said with a smirk.
Boy, I will slap that look off your face I swear to-
"That poor boy had a drug problem-he died of an overdose",he said cutting my thoughts off and I could see Cody look away pissed."Now it's very important you don't get too involved in this."
"Not get too involved in this?", I repeated."I knew him better than any of you people combined, and so did Cody-and he was like a brother to me!!Not to mention he was Cody's  brother, and him and Angel deserve to know!!Drug overdose...I don't believe that bullshit for a second...and you should'nt either."
And with that, I walked out and Cody followed me.
I walked out, passed a bunch of reporters there and glared at them as I walked by, then Cody caught up with me a couple seconds later with some paper in his hand, but I didn't pay too much attention to it.
