Angelo was having a roll, since the food was free, she was eating the roll outside on the balcony on a small round but posh table.

Jared came out to the balcony, not noticing the fact Angelo was there. He stepped towards the edge, sighing.

"Hmph?!" Angelo looked up with crumbs on her face.

Jared was startled by the noise and his head shot up. "Angelo?" He said stepping away from the edge.

"No?" The hungry girl said, mouth full. She swallow her bite.

"What are you doing here?" He asked sitting opposite her at the table.

"Eating?" Angelo said confused, although it should be obvious.

"Yeah but why aren't you inside," Jared rolled his eyes. "With George." He added bitterly.

"George is busy grinding on a little blondie," Angelo sighed and finished her roll, she sadly ate.

Jared mentally planned on brutal ways of murdering George. "Oh." He looked down at the gardens. "Listen, I'm sorry for playing with you," he mumbled.

"I don't forgive you, you're just doing it again..." Angelo glared at him.

"I'm not." He said looking up at her. How could he make her believe in him? He had broken her trust one too many times.

"Don't fucking lie, you always do this! Even when we were kids!" Angelo stood up and started to leave.

Jared got up and grabbed her hand hastily, pulling her back. "How can I make you believe again?" He asked her quietly. "I'm not lying Angelo. I'm sorry."

"Shove that sorry up your-" Angelo was silenced by another pair of lips on hers.

Jared set his hands on her waist, pulling her closer to him.

Angelo shouldn't have let him, but she did, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Despite hating him she craved him.

Jared pulled away slightly, his forehead resting against Angelo's. "Do you believe me now?" He said softly.

"N-no!" Angelo came to her senses and pushed him back, she couldn't let him win her over, he would leave her again.

"I'm not going to leave you again," Jared said, almost as if reading her mind. "I'm sorry for what I did to you Angelo."

"I don't care! You're just lying," Angelo sneered.

"I'm NOT!" Jared said rubbing his hand through his hair in frustration. "I'm sorry ok! Even if you don't want nothing to do with me anymore, just believe me when I say I'm sorry."

Angelo said nothing and walked away, walked away from not only her best friend but also her first love. She walked away from all the drama, all the laughter and all the tears, but something she couldn't walk away from was the pain, that followed her every step. Angelo unclipped her locket and dropped it outside.

Jared ran outside, looking around for Angelo, tears on the verge of slipping out. He had let her slip too many times, and each time he would tell himself that he would do better next time. And now he didn't know if there would be a next time. He looked down to see Angelo's golden locket laying on the floor. He bent down and picked it up, and shoved it in his pocket. He remembered the day he and Angelo first got these lockets.

"Jared guess what!" Angelo said holding something behind her, she just arrived at the creek.

"What?" Jared said turning around to face Angelo. She had a mischievous look in her eyes usually, but today it was a look of pure happiness.

"My daddy took me to a jewellery crafter to get a custom necklace for my birthday! Instead of one I got 2!" Angelo piped.

"Ok?" Jared said confused. "What's behind your back?" He asked trying to look behind her.

"The necklaces! I'm giving one to you!" Angelo smiled at him and handed him the box, she pulled her locket out from under her shirt, on the small heart it had a small 'J' imprinted on it.

Jared opened the box to see one identical to Angelo's but with an 'A'. He opened the little heart ornament and saw a photo of him and Angelo outside her house. He looked up and grinned at her. "Thank you! It's beautiful!" He exclaimed, hugging her.

"Oh uh..." Angelo blushed when he hugged her, but hugged him back.

"Can you help me put it on?" Jared asked, blushing a little.

"Sure!" Angelo eagerly nodded, she went behind Jared and put the necklace on him, "wait aren't you gonna be scared of getting teased? Not many guys wear necklaces."

"No one has to know about it," he said facing her. "And I'm not like most guys."

"Oh don't tell me, you're a vampire?" Angelo rolled her eyes at the cliche line.

"No," Jared shook his head. "I obviously would be a werewolf."

Angelo rolled her eyes again but couldn't help but laugh, "wanna try catching fish?" She asked.

"Yeah," Jared said eagerly but looked at the water unsurely.

Angelo smirked and pushed him in, a salmon jumped on him and slapped him in the face multiple times with its flipper.

Jared sputtered and tried shoving away the fish. He resurfaced and glared at Angelo who seemed to find this whole situation hilarious. "If you're done laughing can you help me out?"

"Why should I? You let the fish get away!" Angelo joked and continued laughing, she slapped her knee as another fish jumped onto Jared's lap.

Jared yelped in surprise and slipped falling back down. He swam to the edge and clambered out. "Suddenly I don't like fish anymore." He said glowering.

"Sowwy," Angelo fake pouted, being short, round faced with chubby cheeks, she looked adorable.

Jared huffed and hugged himself. "Fishing is harder than it looks."

"C'mon, let's get you in fresh clothes and go get some burgers!" Angelo said tried helping him up.

Jared grabbed her hand and yanked her in with him. He laughed as he saw the surprised look on her face. Suddenly the laughter went away and he realised how close they were. He looked her in eye, silently observing her features. Wet strands of hair fell in front of her eyes. That's when he realised. He liked Angelo.
