Monday mornings usually weren't the greatest, but Parker had a jump in every step, a kick in his every move, he was feeling hyper. He was feeling good, like the world was on his side, first thing he did was go to the library and grab Isabella's favourite book, he knew it because when they hung out a while back she told him. He remembered how the fireflies illuminated her features and his heart skipped a beat, he smiled at the cover and went out to the courtyard to read. To indulge himself in the world Isabella loved, maybe one day he would be a part of it...
Isabella felt nervous but excited to see Parker. She smiled as she remembered the night of the debutante, and it was totally worth getting told off by her mother. She went out to the courtyard to see Parker reading one of her favourite books. She smiled and went to sit beside him. "Hey," she said softly.
"Oh hey!" Parker smiled, "you know, Peter Johnson and the Gods is a fascinating series, I'm particularly fond of Annabelle," Parker tried sounding sophisticated.
Isabella looked at him for a second. "I didn't peg you as a reader," she said smiling at him.
"I didn't until I got some inspiration," Parker smiled.
"Who finally cracked you then?" Isabella said looking down at her hands.
"That's gonna remain a mystery," Parker said then 'booped' Isabella's nose.
Isabella was startled at the sudden contact. "Did you just..." she turned to look at him. "Boop me?"
"I just did hunny," Parker sassed.
Isabella chuckled at him. "You really are something else." She said quietly.
Parker hummed and continued reading, not knowing why Isabella was next to him but not complaining. He didn't realise she was trying to confess.
"Um..." Isabella said awkwardly trying to think of a way to tell him that she liked him. "Parker?"
"Yeah?" Parker looked at her, his eyes looked golden in the suns light, the shade provided by the tree left dark patches on his face which looked artistic, the parts of his face that didn't have shade looked illuminated, his hair was tousled and slightly messy but gave him a sexy, dazed look. He was a work of art.
"Uh..." Isabella stammered. It was like she had forgotten how to speak. "Nice weather we're having?" She blurted, making her mentally curse herself.
"Well-" before Parker could comment on the weather it started heavily raining.
"Oh god!" Isabella yelped as she got up. She quite liked the rain but it had interrupted her from telling Parker. Also she was soaking wet.
Parker hastily shut his book and used his jacket to cover him and Isabella, he led them inside.
"So much for nice weather," Parker chuckled.
"Yeah," Isabella said distractedly. She had been weighing the pros and cons of telling him. She didn't want to tell him because then she'd be proving him right. He had said that she had liked him when they first hung out and Isabella loved proving people wrong. On the other hand, there would a chance that Parker might return her feelings.
"You ok? Something is obviously on your mind," Parker noticed her expression.
"Um yeah actually, I wanted to tell you something." Isabella said trying to gather up some courage. "I really-" she started but then her phone rang. She took out her phone to see her mom calling.
"What mom?" Isabella said rather loudly.
"I just wanted to see when you would be home after school, no need to take such tone with me young lady." Her mother said.
"I don't know? I'll be home when I'll be home." Isabella said and hung up.
"Your mum is kinda crazy," Parker said, "but I respect her, eventually, I'll earn her respect." He added, sounding determined.
Isabella admired his determination. "Parker, honey, how do I put this nicely?" Isabella said putting her hand on his shoulder. "My mother does not like you. I know her and she very rarely ever changes her opinion on someone."
"She changed her opinion on Angelo in a few seconds," Parker reminded her.
"She never had much of an opinion on Angelo in the first place." Isabella shrugged. "Plus I don't know why my mothers opinion is so important to you?"
"She disliked Angelo for crashing the debutante and I dunno, I seek approval from everyone," he lied, but he played it off smoothly.
"Um...so about that thing I wanted to tell you..." Isabella said shuffling her feet.
Parker looked at her, and those damn eyes were her weakness. His eyes could knock out an army. "Uh..." Isabella made the mistake of looking at his eyes and bam all was forgotten. She pinched herself and looked away. "I really-" she started but was cut off yet again, but by the bell.
"Shit, I've got math first, see you later!" Parker pecked her cheek and rushed off the math.
Isabella looked at the direction that Parker had run off to and touched her cheek. "I really need to learn to get to the point." She mutters to herself and walks off to her English class.

After classes, Parker sat in the courtyard reading, he was glad the rain had stopped otherwise he couldn't fulfil the aesthetic to read outside under some amazing lighting.
Of course Ruby was lurking around, she spotted Isabella and glared, then approached her."Stay away from Parker," she sneered.
"Fuck off Ruby," Isabella rolled her eyes at Ruby's hostility. "You don't own him, and neither are you dating him."
"I will be, you're just a little toy of his, but I can't have you in the way. He's so distracted by this toy he isn't going to the playground; me. So quit getting in my way or else." Ruby glared at Isabella, knowing about her defiant nature.
"Make me." Isabella says sharply. "And Parker isn't a toy for you to play with. He's a human being, so start treating him like one."
"Bitch you missed the fucking point!" Ruby face palmed, "I called you his t-never mind, you're a stupid protagonist anyway!" She walked off.
"Stupid Ruby, calling me his toy. I am not his toy. He told me I wasn't." Isabella said to herself, reassuring herself. But then again, Ruby always got what she wanted. And this time she wanted Parker.
