"And then he took me to the apple tree we came to on the day we ditched school but this was at night, THERE WERE FIREFLIES like a million of them lighting up the place! It was amazing!" Isabella grinned as she explained her day with Parker, sounding dazed by the dream like experience.
"Sounds so romantic," Angelo deeply sighed, envying their relationship, she could only dream about Jared doing such things. He wasn't clever enough to actually do them, he knew academics, not females.
"But it didn't stop there, we climbed to the top the tree an we just sat there and talked. He told me about his family, how he lives with his dad since his parents are divorced and how he always wanted a sibling. It was like time had stopped for just us and it seemed like seconds had gone by before my mum started to spam my phone telling me to come home. Instead of Parker's actual name, she uses 'young hoodlum'." Isabella rolled her eyes at her mother, her heart fluttered a little as she thought about yesterday.
"Fantastic," Angelo grumbled, getting even more jealous. She swore that if Isabella kept talking about Parker she would've snapped, Isabella didn't seem aware of Angelo's crabby mood.
"Yeah I know!" Isabella continued "then he walked me home, did I mention he let me wear his jacket cause I was cold! He told me goodnight and then I went in, thankfully avoiding my mother's interrogation. But he called me over to my window and we talked until it was 1 am. I think I fell asleep at my desk."
"Ok! I don't give a crap ok?! Shut up!" Angelo snapped at her, not meaning to. She was just getting too frustrated.
"Oh," Isabella said taken aback. "You okay? I'm sorry for badgering you about my night." She looked at Angelo with concern.
"I'm fine!" Angelo yelled and stormed off, eyes getting teary, she couldn't control her anger at times.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket, Angelo got it out and saw Jared's name on screen. The message underneath said 'meet me in the boys locker room ;)' which caused Angelo's heart to leap out her chest. Seeing the winky face caused thoughts to circulate, but she brushed them off and ignored the excited pounding in her chest. She walked to the boys locker room and opened the door only to see Ruby and Jared...
Jared heard the locker room door open but dismissed it as one of the guys, kissed Ruby harder, his grip on her waist tightening. The lack of noise from who ever had entered made Jared suspicious, making him pull back slightly to look around. Who ever it was must've left when they saw him and Ruby, at least they respected their privacy.
Angelo ran out the school, not caring anymore of what people thought of her breakdown. She ran all the way to her spot, she sobbed as she walked into the cave, then screamed when she saw two people going at it.
"GET OUT!" She demanded and the couple ran away, the guy hopped out trying to pull his jeans up.
Jared told someone about their spot, that's how they got caught, she cried loudly. Heart hurting like someone pierced it with a sharp shard of glass, her tears kept coming out, they wouldn't stop. They could've drowned her if she kept crying, he would never be hers but she'd always want him. That was her curse.
Eventually she stopped crying, she was sitting with her knees to her chest and back pressed against the stone cold wall.
"I wish we were kids again, I wish I had him again..." she mumbled and decided to let her thoughts wander to back then...

"Jared stop poking the poor snail with a stick!" Angelo said to him rolling her eyes at her best friend.
"Why its funny! He keeps thinking I'm gone and then BAM! I'm back!" Jared laughed as he prodded the poor snail.
"Jameson deserves better! VENGEANCE!" Angelo screamed and tackled Jared into the creek, but also causing herself to get damp from the water.
"Eek!" Jared squealed as he frantically got out of the water. "That was not funny!" He frowned.
"It was for me!" Angelo laughed, her hair dangling in front of her face causing her features to stand out.
"I could get hypothermia because of this! That is no joke!" Jared grumbled.
"Loosen up a little," Angelo smiled at him and got out of the creek.
"If I loosened up I wouldn't be me!" He said shivering.
"Get up you big baby," Angelo said rolling her eyes.
"I'm not a baby! I'm a man!" He said puffing out his chest.
"Baby, baby, baby, oooooh!" Angelo sang to mock him.
"Quoting Justin Beiber will not bring me down!" Jared said stubbornly.
"But I will!" Angelo tackled him again but onto grass this time, she looked at him while laying on his chest.
"I can't breathe!" Jared gasped as Angelo had knocked the wind out of him.
"Suck it up buttercup," Angelo stuck her tongue out at him.
"I am not a buttercup. I am more of a..." Jared pondered trying to think of a better plant. "Lavender?" He said unsurely as that was the first thing that popped up in his mind.
"You smell like lavender so sure!" Angelo said inhaling his calming scent.
"You smell like..." Jared sniffed her. "Cinnamon."
"It's the shower gel I use," Angelo said laying on Jared's chest.
"I like it." He smiled.
"I like you," Angelo whispered so he couldn't hear.
Jared grinned and closed his eyes. He wished this could last forever, not even hypothermia crossed his mind as he lay on the floor.
"Wanna go to our cave?" Angelo asked staring at the clear sky, "I hoarded cheese there."
"As long you have warm clothes there." Jared nodded getting up.
Angelo took his hand and led them to their cave, the place they called a second home. For a moment she felt...happy.
