A/N: Hey guys :) First I want to say I'm sorry if you didn't like Story Six. I'm not going to take it down, but I'm sorry if I offended anyone or if it wasn't as good as it could've been. But here is another update for you guys, hope you like it. (Also prepare for the return of Orion!)

This was it. Adoption day. Six months of waiting, preparing, and finally the day came. I straightened my tie, the way Dean had shown me, and smiled. I had been practicing my best smile for this very occasion.

"You ready to go, Cas?" He asked from behind me.

I turned around and saw that he was dressed in his best suit.

"Yes, we should go."

We walked out to the Impala, passing the nursery as we went. I had an odd fluttery feeling in my stomach, a human reaction to excitement.

As Dean drove, he smiled widely. I felt a little squeeze in my chest, another human reaction. He shut off the engine and looked over at me. He looked nervous, so I smiled at him; humans find smiles reassuring.

He smiled back then opened his door and got out of the car. I did the same, and as we walked up the steps to the adoption center I felt the fluttery feeling again.

"Dean, do you feel the flutters in your stomach too?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he said, "It means you are excited." Excited. A new feeling.

We stopped, having reached the door. Dean took a deep breath and took my hand. I squeezed his fingers and used my thumb to draw circles on the back of his hand.

We waited another moment and pushed the door open. The first thing inside the door was a nice waiting room, with a few chairs and a big front desk. No one was in the chairs, the building appeared deserted except for the secretary sitting at the desk.

When we walked in, she looked up and smiled welcomingly.

"Hi, uh, Nancy," Dean said, glancing at her name tag. "We filed for adoption six months ago, under the name Winchester; we were supposed to take our son home today."

She looked at a clipboard in front of her. "Oh, yes, Mr.s Winchester. Right this way please."

We followed her to a room with multiple cribs; an infant rested in each one. A nurse walked around the room tending to all the babies' needs.

"Here he is," said the secretary, lifting a black haired baby from one of the cribs. The baby blinked sleepily, and looked at us seeming to recognize our faces. The last time we visited was weeks ago, though, so he shouldn't really be able to recognize us.

The secretary, Nancy, handed the child to Dean and handed us a few papers for us to sign. Dean signed very neatly, but my signature was a bit more sloppy due to lack of practice.

"Cas, do you wanna hold him?"

I smiled and held out my arms. Dean tucked our baby into my arms, and I felt my whole being fill with happiness. The baby's green eyes, the exact same shade as Dean's, stared into mine.

"Have you guys thought about his name?" Nancy's voice cut into my thoughts.

"Uh..." Dean mumbled; it was obvious that he hadn't.

"Yes," I said, trying to save him the embarrassment. "We were thinking Orion would be a good name."

Dean looked at me, presumably wondering why I had chosen the name Orion. But he played along.

"Yeah. It has a lot more meaning than you might think," he said. I could tell that he had no idea what he was talking about, but he seemed to have fooled Nancy.

"That's great!" She said with false enthusiasm. "I'm sure you two will be great parents."

She sprang into the basics of taking care of an infant, and I rocked Orion in my arms, eliciting a quiet baby giggle.

I wasn't paying attention to Nancy's lecture, and then it was time to leave.

We walked back down the front steps, Dean now holding Orion, when Dean seemed to remember the name I had chosen.

"Orion, huh?" He asked.

"Yes. It's a biblical name; it means 'hunter.' I thought it was... Fitting."

"I like it, Cas. It does fit."

He carefully buckled Orion into the car seat and climbed into the front seat next to where I was already sitting. We drove home, ecstatically conversing about how we finally had our son.

Unfortunately, neither of us felt ecstatic when he kept us up all night.

The joys of parenthood, right?

Wow, sorry that ended a bit abruptly. This was more of a backstory about how they came to be parents (see Story One) but I hope you guys liked it :) Also I tried writing in first person, which is hard for me. Why did you guys think? Until next time, keep on keepin on!
