A/N: Hello, all! Welcome to another episode of... Questionably Good Fanfiction! This week we explore the possibility of Fallen!Castiel getting an anti-possession tattoo. The Destiel is not pre-established like it is in most of my fics.

"Alright, Cas, today's the day!" Dean called from his room.

"Is this really necessary?" Cas asked for at least the millionth time.

"Yes, it's necessary. Can't have you getting possessed out there," Dean said, walking out of his room.

He clapped Cas on the shoulder as he passed him in the hall and Cas followed behind him to the library where Sam was sitting, reading over several books at once.

"I'm takin Cas to the tattoo parlor."

"'Kay," Sam said, engrossed in a thick leather bound book.

"Have fun with that, Man of Letters," Dean said, passing through the library to the door.

Sam cracked a smile and laughed a little but Cas remained silent, nervously biting his lip.

On the ride to the parlor Cas fidgeted nervously as Dean tried to make small talk. Eventually Dean decided he couldn't ignore Castiel's distress anymore.

"Look, buddy, this is fine. Completely safe. Doesn't even hurt that much." He stopped the car outside Stairway To Heaven tattoo parlor and got out.

Dean and Cas walked into the shop and Cas stood by nervously while Dean explained what kind of tattoo Cas was going to get.

He unfolded a piece of paper with a picture of the tattoo printed on it and handed it to the artist, a girl nice looking in her early thirties with plenty of tattoos herself.

"This your first tattoo?" The artist asked as she sat Cas down in a comfortable chair.

Cas nodded, wringing his hands and chewing on his bottom lip. She smiled a friendly smile at him.

"Okay, so I'm gonna need you to hold still. You wanted it on your upper arm?"

"Yes," Cas answered quietly.

"Alright, so I'm just gonna trace a pattern on your arm. No needles yet."

Cas stared at the floor, the ceiling, out the window, at Dean, anywhere but at his arm as she traced a copy of the picture onto it.

When she was done, she let Cas inspect it to see if it was good enough. He nodded his approval so she brought the tattooing needle over and glanced at his face before starting on the first line in the center of the pentagram.

He winced and met eyes with Dean, seeming to beg him to let this tattoo stop. Dean shook his head and smiled a bit sadly.

Cas breathed hard, his eyes watering as he tried to keep himself under control. It wasn't as if he hadn't experienced pain before, it was just that his human body had decided that it couldn't take the pain of getting a tattoo.

Dean felt slightly guilty watching Cas tear up so he went and sat down on the ground next to him. He took the hand of the arm not getting tattooed and rubbed his fingers over Castiel's knuckles. He muttered soothing words to the ex-angel.

"It's okay, Cas. It'll be okay."

Over the next ten minutes, Dean continued to comfort Cas, murmuring comforting but meaningless words and massaging his hand. As Dean ran his fingers through Castiel's hair, his breathing became more even and his eyes dried. The tattoo artist watched them with a smile on her face.

"How long have you guys been together?" She asked.

Dean pulled his hands away and blushed beet red.

"Oh, uh, we-we're not, uh," Dean stuttered.

Cas, however, seemed to misinterpret her question and smiled as he answered her.

"Five years."

"Cas, no-" Dean was cut of by the artist.

"Wow, that's quite a while. How'd you meet?"

"I'm the one who gripped him right and raised him from perdition," Cas said, his smile growing.

"Oh... okay," she said. She didn't ask any more questions and Dean didn't pick Cas's hand up again.

Ughhhhhh sorry. I just kinda feel like that one sucked??? Idk man but I have a couple other story ideas going so hopefully I can get one of those uploaded. Also, I'm starting to work on the third chapter to "Drifter," if any of you are reading that. (You should. Please?) Anyway, don't forget to vote, and until next time, keep on keepin on!
