A/N: This is sorta a continuation of the last update, so I hope you like it :) It was supposed to be an AU but I guess it didn't really happen that way. WARNING: Contains spoilers for Season Seven, Episode 17. (It's basically the episode in Dean's POV)

I walked up the steps to what should have been Emanuel's. A man opened the door and stepped out.

"Hi. Uh, is this, uh, Daphne Allen's house? I'm looking for Emmanuel," I told him.

"Well, you found him. Daphne's resting, if you don't mind."

"Oh, yeah, sure," I said.

I glanced through the window and saw a woman, probably Daphne, gagged and tied to a chair. She was struggling against the ropes that held her there and she looked afraid for her life.

I looked back at Emanuel, because what the hell was going on here?

His eyes turned black and he threw me against the door to the house.

"You were saying, Dean?" He said.

Crap.

"You know, I'd think twice. Or don't you know that your boss issued a hands-off memo?" I retorted, getting up.

The demon laughed. "Please. What have you done for him lately? Roman's head on a plate? No? Whatever Emmanuel is, Crowley's gonna want him- a lot more than he wants you these days. So..."

The demon started towards me, and I quickly drew Ruby's knife and stabbed it. The demon yelled lit up as it died. I yanked the knife from the man's chest and shoved the corpse down the steps. It landed at the feet of Emanuel.

"What was that?" He asked, his voice quiet and intense like somebody's that I used to know.

I didn't answer, only stared at him as he climbed up the stairs and hurried through the door of his house. Back in the house, Emanuel untied Daphne.

Only, Emanuel could've been Castiel's twin brother. It hurt to look at him. I had thought he was gone forever, and suddenly he was back? A strange mixture of emotions ran through me: joy, then anger, hurt, more anger, hope... So I didn't let myself think of him as Cas. He was Emanuel; Castiel was dead.

I explained that Sam needed his help, thinking of Sam dying, plagued by Lucifer, locked in a psyche ward. It seemed like Emanuel didn't know who I was. Maybe he was pretending, like me.

I talked with him on the way to the hospital, and either he wasn't pretending or he was a really good actor.

"So, Daphne - is that, uh, your wife?" I asked.

"She found me and cared for me," he responded. The sound of his voice...

"Meaning?" I asked nonchalantly, trying not to show him how I really felt.

"Oh, it's a...strange story. You may not like it," he warned.

"Believe me, I will," I said.

"A few months ago," he began, "She was hiking by the river, and I wandered into her path, drenched and confused, and... unclothed. I had no memory. She said... God wanted her to find me."

"So who named you Emmanuel?" I asked, still keeping up the no-feeling facade.

"Bouncybabynames.com," he said.

"Well, it's working for you. Must be weird not knowing who you are," I hinted.

"Well, it's my life. And it's a good life."

"Yeah, well, what if you were some kind of... I don't know...bad guy?" I said, trying to see if he would bite.

"Oh, I... don't feel like a bad person," he said thoughtfully.
