Chapter 6

*3rd Person POV*

Once L/N had left a Hange stepped out from the shadows. She walked back to Shadis's office to make a report. When the figure entered, the Commander looked up and asked "So?" "Shadis was right!! Even though we had a rough start she allowed me to watch!! Her methods are brilliant, and just so inventive!!" She shouted excitedly. Erwin nodded and said "I'll see about recruiting her then."

~*6 months later*~

*Reader's POV*

After so many months a few of my trainee's were about to break. I smiled at that thought as I walked back from the mess hall. Soon I was grabbed and pulled into the shadows. Hard hands held me tight as nasty breath blew into my face. The male Cadet licked his lips as he whispered "I wonder how a mere Cadet like you rose up the ranks so quick. I'll keep quiet if you give me the same treatment as Shadis." When I gave no answer the Cadet started ripping at my shirt's buttons I thought "The one time I didn't wear my jacket." I internally sighed as I gave my attacker a few minutes to get distracted before I sprung into action. I pushed him off balance and started punching. He kicked me off and we circled each other.

My shirt was partially ripped off, but I paid it no attention. Once again I made a circle in the dirt, then dropped down to make a line just as he sprung. He tripped landing on the ground behind me. Immediately I got into position with my marker in between us. He attacked and I let him, I let him think that he had me beaten. Once I felt the corner at my back I evaluated my options. Blood dripped into my eye from a cut on my forehead but I ignored the stinging. I gave my attacker a kick to the chest then turned launching myself towards the walls.

Then I bounced from wall to wall making sure that I was high enough to land one last hit. My formation was from the ground to the opposite wall then from the wall to the other wall back down to the grass where my attacker knelt. My attacker looked up too late as my fist busted his nose. Once we fell to the ground I placed my knees on both sides of his head and I delivered a quick succession of punches to his face. When I was sure that he wouldn't pop back up and attack me I quickly backed away. I slowly rose and rolled my shoulders then lifted my face towards the sky.

The wind blew through my hair easing the restlessness of my soul. I stood there for who knows how long before I turned my head and noticed Shadis, my squad and 2 others standing there watching me. I bent down snagging the male Cadet's collar and dragged him behind me. I stopped in front of Shadis, and dropped the Cadet at his feet. Shadis produced a piece of cloth and I began to carefully rub at my face. "You kill him?" he asked. Suddenly the Cadet moaned and I gave him a raised brow. He chuckled and gave me a slap on the back. I continued to wipe the blood off my face when Shadis turned towards the others and said "Commander Erwin Smith, and Squad Leader Hange Zoe this is my Second in Command L/N."

I turned to my squad and cocked my head towards the woods. They left without any complaints. I faced the Commander and the Squad Leader giving them a salute before saying "It's nice to see you again Squad Leader Zoe. I trust you enjoyed watching my methods?" She nodded vigorously as her glasses slid down her nose and the moment she opened her mouth to say something a large hand was placed on her shoulder. I turned my attention to the man that stood beside her. I immediately knew that if I hadn't had been told his station, I would've known by the air around him. His hair was parted to the left side, with thick bushy eyebrows that rested above icy blue eyes that met mine.

My eyes immediately narrowed as I held my torn shirt closed. Shadis then said "Commander Erwin would like to ask you something." My glare turned ice and all I said was "No." Then left them standing there heading into the woods after my team.

*3rd Person POV*

All 3 stood there watching her walk away and Erwin turned to face Shadis and asked "Do attacks like this happen to her often?" Shadis met Erwin's gaze and said "For her it happens more than it should." Erwin's gaze turned hard as he said "I would like to have someone else join us, even if it's just to prevent something like this happening again." Shadis looked down at the bleeding wounded Cadet at his feet and said "Bring whoever you want."
