Chapter 16

~*Time skip by Levi's angry mood*~

When Eren and I came back from training Petra came up to me telling me that Levi wanted me in his office yesterday. Then when I arrived he icily said "Don't you ever stand against me or question me in front of my Squad again. Do you understand me Brat?" I met his cold look with a hard gaze of my own and said "If I do not agree with you I will question your command. That will not change." Suddenly he grabbed my arm twisting it around to show the Scouts brand. "Do you know what this means? It means that you belong to us for the next 5 years Brat, and you will obey every command given" he stated coldly as his hand tightened painfully around my arm.

I jerked my arm out of his hand and sent a right hook towards his face. He didn't realize my intent until I punched him straight in the mouth making him stumble back into his desk and knocking a stack of papers onto the floor. He touched his split lip only to pull his fingers away to see the blood on them. I raised my arm and said "This may be the Scouts brand but I only take commands from my Commanding Officer. YOU weren't the one who bought my contract. Which means I don't have to listen to any order given by you or any other under Smith's command. I will take orders from Commander Smith and ONLY Commander Smith. Which I'm able to do because it's the LAW. Now I'll only say this once I will continue to see to Yeager's previous training."

His steel gray eyes bored into mine as he coldly stated "I may not be able to order you around, but the Brat is under my command. He was placed under MY watch, not yours." Once again a battle of wills was at hand and I said "I'll fight you for him. If I win I get to continue his training, as well as the other Cadets that were under my command before the trial. If you win I'll listen to any order you give." He eyed me and then said "Meet me in the training area Brat and don't make me wait." I nodded and left. When I was gone I missed him touching his lip once more and mutter "Nice punch Brat."

I waited in the training area wearing the same leather clothes I had come back in. Levi finally arrived and I got into position and saw him do the same. I waited until he struck first and blocked it at the same time trying to strike a blow with my foot. He grabbed it and twisted making me fall face first into the ground. I quickly got up and held my fists up watching him as we circled each other. Once again he struck first surprising me with a fist to the jaw. I saw stars when I fell onto my back . Quickly I stood up wiping off my chin as I shook my head. I sent a roundhouse kick to his face only to have him twist away and kick me in the back sending me first face into the dirt.

Once again I stood never noticing the other's standing around watching us. I knew that I had a small chance at beating Humanities Strongest but I also knew that I couldn't give up. I caught Levi's foot as it flew towards my face. I twisted it using the same move he had. He got back up brushing off the dirt, and I sent a right hook towards him. He caught the blow and sent an elbow backwards hitting me in the face. The crack of bone sounded loud but I just shrugged off the pain and tried to kick him. He caught my led sending his elbow into my thigh repeatedly and opening up a semi old wound. Letting me go he noticed the blood blossoming through the fabric and I fell on my butt. Then fell onto m back as he kicked me in the chest pinning me down with his foot.

"Give up Brat. If you don't you'll just end up hurting yourself even more" he commanded icily as he looked down at my bleeding form. I sent him an icy glare and said "I don't expect Humanities Strongest to understand but the only time I'll ever give up is when I'm dead. Wither I die today at your hands or tomorrow in a Titan's belly I'll NEVER give up." To which I grabbed his foot twisted it, and sent him crumpling forward. As he fell I punched him in the jaw, watching his head snap back. Then I sent another blow to his belly, sending him to his knees beside me. I moved fast head-butting him and watched in satisfaction as he fell onto his back.

I shakily stood and then noticed everyone staring at me in shock. I offered Levi a hand, and took it which surprised every one. After helping him up I walked towards my room to treat my wounds, only to make it a few steps before collapsing to my knees. I took several deep pain filled breaths and placed my bruised swollen hands on the ground pushing myself up. This time I made only a single step before falling when my leg finally gave up. But instead of falling to the ground I fell into someone's arms. I looked up only to meet Levi's gaze. I placed my hands on his shoulders as he helped me stand, only for my leg to buckle under my weight again.

Suddenly he picked me up bridal style and demanded "What the hell did you have to prove Brat?!" "Everything now put me down I can do it myself. I don't need help" I said harshly. "You'll end up falling again" was all he said as he continued walking. "Damn it put me down!! I don't NEED nor do I WANT anyone's help!" I demanded. Suddenly he dropped me then left without a word. I shot him a glare and shouted "You could've given me a warning you know!!!" Then once again stood and carefully continued on my way never noticing the amber gaze watching my every move.
