Chapter 17

~*Time skip brought on by Hange's Titan's*~

*Levi's POV*

"Shorty!!!" Hange shouted as she slammed into my office. "Shitty Glasses you better have a reason for slamming into my office" I growled as I glared at her. To which she looked at me and started laughing. "Is there something you wanted Shitty Glasses?" I demanded coldly as I crossed my arms. She just continued laughing when I finally muttered with a glare "If this is about the fight between me and L/N you can shut up now." She quickly stopped and said "I thought you'd want to know the results of your fight. You really did a number on her, especially when she was still wounded. Shame on you Shorty for not waiting until she was completely healed."

"She wouldn't give up damn it. Every time I knocked her down she kept getting back up" I stated coldly. "That's what makes a good soldier. No matter how many times you get knocked down, all that really matters is that you get back up and keep on fighting" she said seriously. I looked down at my swollen hands and suddenly demanded "What do you mean that she wasn't fully healed?" Hange pushed up her glasses and said "My earlier examination of her the day of the trial was incorrect since I was focused on her external injuries, I failed to notice the damage she possessed internally." "What injuries?" I demanded.

"Cadet L/N has several fractured ribs and a sprained wrist. She might have more injuries from her time with Nile that I failed to notice but that's all I was able to figure out since she won't stay still long enough for me to give her a full body examination" she stated. "Get to the point Shitty Glasses, the sooner you do the sooner you can get out" I growled. She took off her glasses and placed them on top of her head as she leaned forward and said "Don't you get it Shorty? She's obviously been in pain since we brought her back, and yet she still fought you and won. She."

Only I cut her off and said "Still kept going. She pushed passed her pain to fight me and win. To prove that nothing would keep her down. She fought for what she believed in, what she thought was right." "Obviously someone's impressed" Hange said with a laugh. I glared at her and asked "Are you sure that my fight with her didn't cause her injuries?" "I'm pretty sure that you were not the cause of these injuries" Hange said matter of factly. "Where is she?" I asked. "In her room tending to her leg" Hange said then stared into thin air. I sighed and asked "Don't you have some experiment's to do?"

"Yes!! Yes I do!! See you later Shorty!!" she shouted excitedly then ran out of the room. I remained at my desk and thought back to what Shitty Glasses told me.

"Her body slightly moving from side to side either from fatigue or pain. Her slight panting for breath as she dodged my attacks. The winces of pain as she twisted her wrist or body a certain way. The light sheen of tears as I pushed her body testing it's endurance. But then I remembered the resolve in her eyes as she declared that she wouldn't give up."

I slammed my fist on my desk and said "Dammit all the signs were there and I chose to ignore them all to get back at her for questioning my command." I glared at the papers at my desk then left the room.
